you have to precomposing the layer for put the shadow and if you wanna put a background like the video you have to precomposing the layers too

Hi Le Minh Anh. We actually didn't show how to create the background in this effect because it had nothing really to do with the blobs. But the background you see in the video is created by having a simple black background and then a purple background on top of it. Then the purple background simply has some large oval masks on the corners and feathered a lot. For those who have this problem, make another comp and drop the first comp into the second comp, then add inner shadow and drop shadow on the first comp, don't add shadows on shape layers separately. Because in the first comp there's an adjustment layer which destroy shadow effects.

Hi Adam, so sorry to hear. Hmm, let me try to think up some solutions. The first one is just whether or not the drop shadow default settings for you are arranged so that the shadow is the same size behind your objects (so technically there but just not able to be seen). So could try changing up the layer styles in the drop down of your layer and see if you can tweak them into showing up. It could also be possible for the adjustment layer to be inhibiting the drop shadow and blurring it so if the first one doesn’t work than you could also try pre/composing each of the objects and adding the drop shadow in the deeper comp. hope either of those can help
