I am still struggling with AI 😂 That's one of my challenge this year 🙈. Actually I draft my digital pattern with valentina software, i'm still learning, but i am better than yesterday 😅. Great video and tips 👌🏾 but digital pattern making is time consuming 😩😩😩. Keep doing the good work out there ❤❤❤

I work with half inch for fitted styles and 1 inch if I want a more relaxed fit.

i have a coin purse pattern, that i want to change the size of it by scanning the pdf pattern that i currently have. Any suggestion. I have done it before, but i don't remember what i did because it was in a class over 10 years ago or less and i have used it since but once. Thanks

go to windows, select document info . then select the line and turn on the object. it will show you the measurement

Pattern Lab on KZfaq has some amazing tutorials on making PDF patterns. They are easy to follow and has amazing instructions.

Adobe illustrator can be overwhelming at the beginning because there is a lot to learn and understand how to use. I recommend starting with simple projects or tasks to get you comfortable/ familiar with the software. Watching tutorials on KZfaq definitely helps when you don’t know to do a particular thing with ai

if you aren't learning then you aren't actually applying the teachings to your personal works. try consuming an array of educational content about this instead of relying solely on videos.

The only way to learn PDF patterns (and pattern making in general) is by doing. I understand your frustration though. There aren't many step by step tutorials because pattern making is a bit subjective. It depends on the type of design you want to create and the client you are fitting the pattern to. Some standard sizes may not work for people such as those with a bigger bum, longer arms, wider calves, and so on.
