This tutorial was exactly what I was looking for = clarity on the setup for the *intensity* vector brush = because it is different compared to the texture vector brush (color on transparent background) -- and also in reverse of the raster intensity brushes (black on white background). So many things to keep straight when making different types of brushes!

THIS is a short, sweet and thorough tutorial and worth every minute you watch. I had to start and stop you video a lot of times as it is a bit fast to follow as one don't see where you click, but I guess that it is not possible to change+mark the mousepointer on an iPad. my brushes dont change the color... Just keep the white color. How to fix?

Thanks. This is my first look into seeing how to create a brush from a selected object so I'm hoping they updated for a more efficient method. What do I mean? Wouldn't it make sense to keep a brush vector? It seems inefficient to have to size up to 1000px to avoid pixellation and create a png that takes up so much more file size than a vector. IT doesn't make sense. It's a vector program lol. I figured if Affinity was supposed to be an answer to a 'better' Adobe then this method seems like something they'd want to avoid. It seems like a workaround. I hope they changed it if they haven't already.
