How to Crochet a Daisy Bucket Hat | Easy Crochet Bucket Hat Tutorial for Beginners | Hopeful Turns

Easy Crochet Daisy Bucket Hat Tutorial - In this step-by-step tutorial, we will learn how to crochet a Daisy bucket hat/sun hat. This crochet summer hat is made with six Crochet Daisy Granny Squares.
The pattern is divided into four part:
Part 1 covers the Crochet Daisy Square
Part 2 covers the Body/height of the hat
Part 3 covers the crown width or flat circle
Part 4 covers the Brim of the hat
Details about the crochet hat
This hat fits perfectly for a head circumference of 21.5 inch or 55cm head circumference . It can made for a teenage to adult medium woman size. Each square measures about 3x3 inch and the long strip when stitched together is about 20 to 20.5 inches. the diameter of the circle is 6.6inch or 17.5 cm. The hat measures 8 inches or 20.5cm from the top of the hat to the bottom or the brim.
if you want to make for a bigger size, you can use a 4.5mm hook.

for anyone wanting to use 7 squares for a larger hat, follow the pattern but make the top circle of the hat 6dc then inc, + 2 random inc somewhere on the round and when attaching to the brim. The brim/sew count will be 98 instead of 84. hope this helps

This pattern was too cute for me to pass up, so I gave it a try. I did have to make some adjustments to make it work out - adding an extra granny square and one more round to the crown part - but other than that it turned out great! I'm already making plans to do another one, this was a nice pattern!

Hi, l love this tutorial, what tarn did you use please. I have tried using 100% acrylic but it seemed too floppy. Also my daughters head is large 23 inches. I am a beginner and am always confused by the "worsted weight" comment which usually I find refers to #4. I want to make this EXACTLY as you made it. Is your yarn a #3 or a #4? Thank you!

I am a beginner and I have attempteed to start making this, but when I have made the first Round(centre of flower) it just opens up after I believe I have fastened the threads, turning right into a thread again 🤦‍♀️ I really dont know what I am doing wrong, does anyone have any tips?

Instead of a magic circle you can chain 4 then slip stitch into the first chain then there’s a hole in the middle that you can double crochet into

Question: when joining them what is holding the initial threaded stitch in place? It doesn’t seem like it’s “locked” in place other than when you hide the end.

Hi there. Are you able to give the dimensions for the granny squares individually and then joined? Along with the final size of the hat?

Hello there. Each square measures 3x 3 inch. the entire band comes around 20 to 20.5 inches. I have updated the description box with more details of the hat measurement. Do check that out, and thank you for asking. I missed out on mentioning in the video.
