I learned how to crochet a chain yesterday, woke up today, and decided that making one chain made me qualified to crochet a jellyfish (totally not getting ahead of myself). I put the video on .5 speed most of the time and it may have taken me two days, but I’m very proud of how it came out, especially for in the future when I want to tell someone “this was my first ever crochet project” just to impress them.

I'm sure you can make this!! When I first started (some odd years ago) I found a nice slouchy hat I wanted to make my kids ( worm beanie).... Well it turned out to be a very difficult pattern that I did not understand and yet did at the same time, and I kept switching how I was completing the stitch and so it was very messed up... I now have a partially completed hat that I started some odd months ago... In my defense I work full time, and run our homestead business but still, you can do anything you set your mind to (with enough time)!

My first jellyfish (this one) is being donated to a friend who’s GF had a premie at about 24 weeks! The tentacles help keep their tiny hands from pulling out their tubes and leads! Thank you!! ❤️❤️

Just finished my project jellyfish. It was my very first Amigurumi project after 3 ball attempts. Your video helped me a lot and I'm very grateful. I finished the jellyfish really well too and I ended up even adding a face and a bow. Very helpful tutorial, because it shows every step slowly. Recommended for sure on my part. ❤️

When I first started crocheting, I had tried for months to do a magic circle and probably watched a dozen videos on it. I gave up and months later I decided I wanted to make a jellyfish for my moms birthday. I watched your circle and immediately got it. How hard was it to use chuncky yarn? I got bernat blankey extra chuncky yarn and I cant see my stiches especially when making a ring :')

I’m in love with crochet jelly’s. This one is AMAZING. I have even randomly crochet patterns to make my own lol. My mother loves stuffed sea animal. (Especially jellyfish) so I keep crochet a jelly every few days and adding to her/our collection! I just love this pattern. Thank you for sharing

I just wanted to say I love this pattern so much. I've been using these for stash busting. I made about 20 of these and played around with the tentacles and ruffled edges and different colors to make each one unique. I hug them all on my ceiling. I'm planning on making many more to eventually cover my ceiling in colorful jellies!

Yay that was what i was looking for! I will try make it and I will keep you updated! 😀 Day 1: So I've started around 7.30 pm and I made some breaks too, and I finished the head/body around 10.30 pm so that's around 1 hour and 40 minutes /without the breaks/! ALSO THANKS FOR THE TUTORIAL! IT TURNS OUT AMAZING SO FAR!

I love your pattern , thanks for sharing this awesome pattern, my daughter who is a Dive Master on the Island of Cozumel has a 4 yr old daughter whom is my granddaughter and she is absolutely intrigued by all the sea animals so thanks for making a pattern that looks realistic instead of cartoonist. I used Yarn Bee Scrub-ology cotton for the tentacles to give it a bit of an edge . I would love to send you a photo ! Cheers L. Fay Henegar

I picked up crocheting a couple months ago but I havent toughed it since i finished my first project so this was agreat way to get back into it, I messed up on the bottom at some point by one stitch all the way till the end :') and I think I missed a couple of stitches in my spiral but it still turned out super good! Thank you for posting such a detailed tutorial ^^

i truely enjoyed your video, it was so helpful in making the tentacales for a jellyfish i made from another pattern, that pattern the tentacles weren't right... i so appreciate you taking the time to make the vids and do step by step... i just started back crocheting, i havent crocheted since i was very young, so i am trying to remember everything... my mom she taught herself how to do pretty much all the crafts, and she taught all of her kids, even the boys how to crochet and how to sew... the basics...

My left handed brain had a hard time figuring out what was going on and reverse it 🤔 took me 3 hours to get the first 2 rows down and for some reason all the knotches I make end up too tight for me to push the needle through... 😩 I got a headache so I'll try it again later. Edit: I finished it

Ive gotten to 9:33 in just a few minutes (i skipped to the next step i needed since i crochet it slightly faster then her) and im stating the second row now, this tutorial is way easier for me than all the others ive tried out! Update: its the next morning, im now at 36:23!

I feel like I never will, but I’m gonna keep practicing. I can say that I get better a making a chain! At first it was soooooo uneven.. big loops mix with small loops mixed with way to tight loops! Great and easy tutorial! The only thing I would ask is that you say the number of stitches before you do them or have it in the corner of the video. My ADHD brain had to wait until you finished each row to actually do the row so I wouldn't mess up 😅🥰

This is a great tutorial! I wonder if I could just attach the yarn and then work the tentacles from there…..I’m gonna try one…. it just seems like a lot of extra work attaching them at the end
