Sorry, starts with 5. Pattern is correct. All petals starts with 5sc, not 6.

Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! So easy to follow, especially for a beginner like me! For anyone wanting to make a smaller version of the large rose, I followed this video for the exact pattern and created all the petals but each rose of mine I made using 3 large petals, 2 medium and 2 small, so essentially you can make two "less open" roses and it turns out just as beautiful!

If you are a beginner, I would recommend starting with something simpler, and maybe not in the round, like a hot pad or a coaster. It is easier to see and understand. You can always do this most bezutiful rose later, when it makes more sense.

After row 9 of the large petal it say turning chain does that mean we turn our work and go in the opposite direction?

The instructions didn't have slst and 1ch after each row, but you did a slst and 1ch, doesn't that add an extra stitch? so instead of 5,10,15 i keep getting an extra stitch 5,11,17 etc..

I think that with the smaller one you shouldn't do the ninth row. Just go straight to row 10. But I'm not entirely sure how to do the bigger one. Maybe do the 9th once again just be careful about those three chains in the middle and then do the 10th.

Hey, so I tried to do it and this looked like that the most: 1. Magic ring 5 sc, slip stitch (5 chains) 2. Chain 1, 5 increase sc , slip stitch (10 chains) 3. Chain 1, sc 1, sc inc, sc 1, ..., Slips stitch (15 Chains) 4. Chain 1, sc 2, sc inc, sc 2, ..., Slip stitch (20 chains) 5. Chain 1, sc 3, sc inc, sc 3, ..., Slip stitch (25 chains) 6. Chain 1, sc 8, dc inc, db 3, db inc, dc 3, dc inc, sc 8, slip stitch 7. Chain 3, turn, dc inc, dc, chain 1, END SC - single crochet DC - double crochet HDC - half double crochet Those 3 dots is repeat, I don't know how many times, just repeat. 1. Magic ring 5 sc, slip stitch (5 chains) 2. Chain 1, 5 increase sc , slip stitch (10 chains) 3 Chain 1, sc 1, sc inc, sc 1, ..., Slips stitch (15 Chains) 4. Chain 1, sc 2, sc inc, sc 2, ..., Slip stitch (20 chains) 5. Chain 1, sc 3, sc inc, sc 3, ..., Slip stitch (25 chains) 6. Chain 1, sc 4, sc inc, sc 4, ..., Slip stitch (30chains) 7. Row🤔 and put how I think the large one is made (am going to try it tomorrow 27.1. but I think it should work)

I don't know why, but the Flower Torus base part just isn't turning out right. I'm following the directions to the T, but it's not turning into the narrow bowl type base like what you show, it's turning out like a flat bowl. Do I need a smaller sized hook?

Yes. But after finishing R9, you do a slip stitch and chain 2 (as shown on the pattern) because from R10 you will do double crochet stitches.
