How to Crochet: C2C Moss Stitch Wash Cloth

This tutorial will show you step by step how to crochet the Corner to Corner (c2c) Moss Stitch Wash Cloth. This is a great easy stitch pattern that gives a neat diagonal effect.
All you need to know how to do is chain and single crochet!

Instead of doing the single + half double to begin the first decrease row, I just did the last single in the chain stitch followed by the next single into the ch 3 space, like she does for the rest of the decreases. This worked out just fine for me, and I’m also going to do a small border around the entire thing.

I have wanted to try C2C lately. This seems like a good place to start. I havent made dishcloths in a while this looks like a pretty stitch.

When you start the decrease you do a single crochet, no chain one, then in the corner you do a single crochet and a half double. Then turn and chain two and skip first two stitches, then single crochet in chain space. My question is that there is no chain space after the two skipped stitches so do you single crochet between the two single crochets? Thank you for your response.

Thanks for the video!! I gave it a try.. but how do you account for the slanting/bias? the cloth is skewed a little, i.e. not square.

At the end of my increase row can I sc ch1 sc ch3 then turn? Or do I have to turn before I ch3? Does it make any difference?

My question is when you are doing a decrease, you are doing a 1/2 double crochet on one end and not the other? also it makes it look rounded not pointed like the other sides???

I thought this would be a nice easy washcloth but I followed the written pattern and the decrease instructions made no sense so I came here to the video. It seems to be way different thant written pattern. When I follow these instructions my turning corners curl in

I agree with your statement. did you get a reply. could not understand why do a half double crochet on one end and not the other. also it does not make the points pointy but rounded and do not match.
