mini duck body r1: 8sc in mr r2: inc (16) r3: sc, inc (24) r4: sc (24) r5: inc, 22sc, inc (26) r6: 10sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 10sc r7: sc cut yarn leave 10 sts and stitch the rest head r1: 7sc in mr r2: inc r3-4: sc r5: sc, dec (10) wings r1: 8sc in mr r2: 2inc (2sc, 1hdc, 1dc in the 3rd st)

I love this! It’s so cute! I’ve been teaching a larger duck pattern in my crochet classes but I like the wing pattern on yours much better than the one in my pattern. 😊

Magic ring with 8sc crochet, then in the second row do 2inc in the next two stitches and then in the third stitch do 2sc.1hdc.1dc. Cut the yarn and sew it.

I love this tutorial and my duck is going so well! I’m just a little confused on round 5 for the head. It says (1sc.1dec)*4 2sc (10). Does this mean (1sc.1dec) 4 times and then 2 sc to end the round?

thank you.for liking it. yes you are right it's 1sc.1dec 4 times and then 2sc, these will be 10 stitches in total.

what size is the crochet hook?

1.5 mm crochet hook and 2mm velvet yarn. You can also use cotton yarn. The pattern is for 2mm yarn size
