Your video is the first that has visually demonstrated WHERE to place the dc in r2. In filet I often am frustrated because lines look a bit slanted. I could never figure out the right area to yo and go through. So, when you show not to just pick up under those 2 loops, you are actually yo and going through the top of the actual post. Thank you!!!😂 P.S. your pattern is so lovely.

If you're like me and hate crocheting into chains (other than the foundation chain), I found that on Row 5 you can totally just work the 3DC, ch3, 3DC into the chain space. It looks slightly different but I think it looks just as elegant, and for me it's more fun 😂 PS: great pattern and great tutorial! Thank you! ❤

Wow that's beautiful. I like the idea of pulling the yarn long to make a DC in the beginning of the row instead of making the usual 3 chains to make DC. And also the way you are using the space to make DC instead of the 2 loops. This way the stitches looks amazing and beautiful. Your stitches are so consistent and perfect. 👍

Hi again , row 4 dose not match with your ending... After double checking my countings of all my rows, at the end of my 4th row (after the last shell) I still have a gap of 4chains (a single crochet attachet to the below row)and then the final 2 DC? What have I done wrong?😔
@OlgaPoltava
@OlgaPoltava 2 жыл бұрын
The shells are in row 5, so I assume that you mean the end of row 5 does not match the end of row 4. The end of row 5 is worked into the start of row 4, so check out if you started the row 4 correctly. Row 4 starts at 4:52 in the video.

@OlgaPoltava
@OlgaPoltava Жыл бұрын
Could be! That's the way I crochet most of the time, but not always. For instance, I made a lacy scarf with thin mohair/silk blend yarn and it was just so uncomfortable inserting the hook this way, so I went with inserting under the top two loops only (and the final result still looked pretty good).

Wow adore this pattern and looking forward to attempt a summer top. Size 16 . Can you help me work out how many stitches I'll need Big thanks 😊
@OlgaPoltava
@OlgaPoltava 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Karen, to make a top you first will need to take measurements either of yourself (if you are making it for yourself) or of already existing top in needed size. Then you need to make a swatch in this stitch, count the stitches in your swatch, and then calculate with how many chains to start based on the measurement you too. I know it sounds complicated. And unfortunately I can't estimate the amount of starting chains/stitches without the measurements and the swatch.
