Ooh, I like the back bump method. I was practicing making star ornaments with acrylic yarn, tweaking some one elses design to make better points. I didn't like how the pattern made round-ish points, so I modified the stitches and tossed in a picot at the tip of the points, but I didn't like how the picot looked. It seemed sort of crumpled looking. I saw your back bump type of picot, tried it, and that did the trick! It made the tips of the stars pointier and neater looking. Yay! Now when I make them in cotton thread I'll have prettier stars! :-) Thank you for the tutorial.

So i hope you or someone replies, but my pattern im having to convert uk terms to us terms and its called for dc picot stitch for the uk term ig but does that mean its a single crochet version and not a double corchet?
