I don’t know why people feel the need to be so rude. Someone took the time and effort to make a video available to you for FREE and yet some people act so ungrateful. This video is great and the instructions are easy to follow. Thank you for making this for us all 💕

I knit (50 years) and crochet (55 years). I recently saw a blanket with this stitch but the lady wouldn’t tell me the name and she didn’t have a pattern. So I went searching. I basically could see the stitch but wanted to be certain . I finally found the right combination of words to suggest your tutorial. I’m happy to find you.

I am going to try this. I have been crocheting for years and have never seen this stitch. I can knit but I don't enjoy it because I cannot fix my mistakes. Crochet mistakes are easy for me to fix because you only have one stitch open at a time.

Love the video! I wish it was available at a higher resolution than 360p though, since its a little hard to see where you’re inserting the hook. Still was super helpful though!

Thank you, you explained everything so clearly.. I only like how the stitch looks in the round & not how in all videos I have seen that it is not as nice or the same when it is done with the flat crocheting.. so I tried something different & it works & looks exactly the same as when you do it in the continuous round .. you just have to finish off at the end of each row .. & start again at the beginning of the row ( a bit like when you change colours, you have loose ends on each side but they can be crocheted in when you do a border) that way you can use it for both ways when making a cardigan etc & the stitches are all exactly the same.
@MeghanMakesDo

I agree that it looks the best in the round. That's a great idea for cutting off the yarn at the end of every row to get the same look.

I am doing this on a sock pattern for the first time and my yarn is a darker color…. I need to practise first with a lighter color and thicker yarn. I can’t see the V’s. With practise I will get better. Thanks for the tutorial.

As a long time knitter I would think all you would have to do is use a lighter weight yarn to get your drape. However it would be excellent for a real waistcoat

Yes you can! I've been meaning to make a tutorial for it. You'll have to place your hook in a slightly different spot when you turn so it will look slightly different then when it is worked in the round.

You can do it straight and in rows by turning the work everytime you do a row which does not look as neat and the shape does not line up.....you can also cut the yarn every row which looks neat and lines up perfectly but you will have a lot of loose treads so it is best to work in round😁😁😁

Hi. This only works when you don't turn at the end of a stitch row. This only works when you work in a circle. So, there must be a better way

@MeghanMakesDo
@MeghanMakesDo Жыл бұрын
The stitch will slant a bit to the left due to the nature of the stitches. You can always block your piece when you are done and try to get the stitches to straighten up.

Instruction fine, but I agree with others on how the video looks. White on white--I too have a hard time seeing the stitches. And this meant kindly, the lady's nail polish color was what I DID see quite clearly. An unnecessary distraction.
