//FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
-What equipment do you use?

I absolutely love your videos! A month ago I decided to try to learn to crochet for the first time (I’ve done cross stitch and knitting all my life but crochet was something I never learned to do). I started by watching your ‘absolute beginners’ series and practiced over & over. Then I went on to the first granny square and have loved making them to keep practicing. Now I’m watching some more of your granny square tutorials and hope to be able to make some of the different, more intricate and colourful looking ones with more practice. Thank you for making these videos so easy to follow and getting me completely ‘hooked’ (pun intended 😂) on crochet! I’m so looking forward to getting good enough to start putting squares together and hopefully ending up with some beautiful pieces. I’m excited to keep watching and learning more about a craft I never thought I’d be able to do 💜

Well I am done. My Mom didn’t finish the table runner. I had to add 4 squares. What an amazing job teaching us how to crochet. Now I found another one that I would like to make it bigger for my Entertainment Center. Hopefully it won’t take me years to find the right square 🤦🏽‍♀️

Thank you, I work in UK terms so a UK double is a US single, it's the same stitch just different terminology. We don't use single crochet in the UK. This chart maybe of use to you - bellacococrochet.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Conversion-chart.png :)

You are the best explainer of doing crochet on video. Are you able to do a granny square using a waffle stitch. I feel I am ready to do one after you teaching this tutorial. I want to do different stitches in a granny square for the blankets that will go to Syria and Turkey. Thank you.
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! 😊 I have seen granny squares made using waffle stitch but unfortunately I don’t have a tutorial - you can however find free patterns if you Google. You could also crochet standard waffle stitch in a square shape and join them together. Good luck with your blankets for Syria and Turkey, what a lovely thing to do! 😊

I have found a lot of your videos really helpful (I think they are a bit older?), especially as a beginner. But I found this video really hard to follow, which was really disappointing because so far you’ve taught me so much with your other videos. The speed is an issue, and there aren’t many good views of the stitches that are being made. I am definitely going to try this again, (sometimes it takes more than one watch for me to catch on!) but I haven’t had to do that with a lot of your other videos. Still love your channel! ❤️🧶
