Learn how to crochet the X-shaped Single Crochet stitch.
This stitch is a variation of the standard 'V-shaped Single Crochet stitch (in US terms). It's a great stitch to know if you're a fan of crocheting amigurumi.
The X-shaped Single Crochet stitch will:
- Change the appearance of your amigurumi stitches, often making them look a little neater (personal opinion)
- Help you crochet with tighter tension (great for keeping your stitches close together so you can't see the stuffing inside your amigurumi pieces)

**In the UK terms, this stitch is the X-shaped Double Crochet stitch.
**Some people crochet this stitch doing one yarn under first, then a yarn over. I personally, find it easier to stitch to doing either two yarn unders (for X-shaped Single Crochet) or two yarn overs (for V-shaped Single Crochet) as it is easier to remember and be consistent. It also gets you the same result.
