made this top for barbie!! its so cute and i love it!! :) would like to add some tips i found may help for those making it: - make sure to chain more than half of your bust because the edge is where the sleeve is going to be attached and you don't want too little arm space - when you reach the string hole part, i'd suggest doing less that 3 chains due to the need of having friction to stop the chains from slipping out incredibly easily. 2 or 1 will do the trick :) - once you make these holes for your chains, skip to the part where she makes them so you can try the top on with the appropriate tension around your body, i find that this makes determining where your sleeves should be a lot easier :)

I’ve been working on this top for about a week and I finally finished!! I had to restart twice, but I’m obsessed with the results! I made it longer so it goes just past my belly button, and I just kept doing hdc’s instead of making the mesh. It’s so cute! Thank you so much Kamryn!

Good tutorial. The result is so cute. Although, there are some things that I would recommend, like when you clarify the length of the sleeve, I did it like you did, and it didn’t fit at all, and then after you were done you said that if it didn’t fit you should have added more rows. You could’ve said that in the beggining of the sleeve part in a text or something. I had to undone everything and star over and lost many hours. But overall it is really cute. tip: if you used cotton yarn like I did, wich is so thin, I would recommend doing dc instead of hdc, it will save you so much time.

@@daisyidk2903 I basically just made a flat panel the same way the chest bit is made! Your chain needs to reach from each end of the tops front. I measured from the bottom of my armpit to mid stomach and followed basically the same instructions for the front panel so it can match. Does that make sense ?

unfortunately the sleeves area in the video was not very accurate :( especially for plus sized people with bigger arms, alongside the tube area.

For the back I didn’t really want to do the bow NO OFFENSE so I made a 220 chain and put that through the back holes (I had 3 on each) and it lowkey looks like a corset and I loved it but ur way is also really cutw

I think just do the first part like to cover all around you rather than just the front of your bust and slip stitch to join when you’re done. Then add the sleeves and everything else like she did :(
