Something to consider is that crochet hooks will also help you create even-sized loops. That'll be much harder to do with your fingers. So don't get frustrated if it looks a bit wonky, it's not your fault 😁

I use my finger to measure my loops. My loop will always be the diameter of my index finger, which i use to pull the yarn through! Found that handy when i was getting frustrated with inconsistent loops. If the loops were too big, i would tighten them to fit my finger

Isn't it a very basic level of intelligence to use your finger to size it...? Are you and others just not getting that idea?
@jasminezed7839
@jasminezed7839 4 ай бұрын
@@The_Sphinx-22 If you're doing a project like the one shown in the video, each loop should be much bigger than the size of your finger due to the diameter of the yarn. In other cases, you may want very tight loops so as not to show stuffing on an amigurumi, so you need each loop to be smaller than the diameter of your finger. It's not a matter of being unintelligent, it's a matter of needing differently sized loops for different purposes. Also, even if you feel that someone or a group of people has not reached “a very basic level of intelligence”, it is generally considered extremely rude to say so, just for future reference.

I've been working on a big blanket for my mom and I've only used 2 things of really thick yarn and I'm not even half way through yet. And after doing the math it'll cost $346.86 to finish it..... as a 15 yr old, I don't have that kind of money to just be spending all willy nilly 😭😭 so I'll have to wait a long time to actually finish it 😅 but for me when working with really thick yarn I feel like it's easier to just use my hands, granted it takes a bit longer, it's just more comfortable that using a really big hook 😊
@nabukiyako1957

but to be fair if you split it up to do slowly over a long period of time $346 could be pretty affordable in small amassed amounts of money spent at a time and it’s nice to just do it for an hour or so after your work or in between chores

How is it going? If it’s a blanket, you could use old t-shirts or any cotton clothes and cut them in stripes and use that as your yarn. You can then dye it if you want a specific color.

Honey, you just started! Focus on the progress you can make, the little things you can change. You're not gonna get it straight away. What seems easy to one person is hard for another. I started crocheting at 12 on and off, but i didn't start taking it seriously until I was around 16-17. I'm 18 now and I can make very intricate squares, and I'm trying to learn amigurumi. When I first started I missed stitches, my squares were wonky, I forgot the steps. Now I can make just about anything with a good tutorial. It takes time but its worth it!

@Future_Farmer_1013
@Future_Farmer_1013 7 ай бұрын
@@liliacabrera7403 Yes, it probably is, but why is it a part of the pattern in the first place? Like, sure, it looks cool, but a slip stitch is normally not that loose, so you must deliberately loosen it to make it work. And also, you could just Tunisian crochet from the other direction. That is what most experienced crocheters would do.

Here is a recipe for delicious fudgey brownies: Ingredients: 200g / 14 tbsp unsalted butter 200 g / 1 1/4 cups dark chocolate chips 1 cup (175g) brown sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup (75g) plain flour 1/4 cup (30g) cocoa powder Pinch of salt 180g/6oz dark chocolate block/bar (optional) Process: 1. Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F (160°C fan forced). 2. Spray a 20cm/8" square tin with oil and line with baking/parchment paper with overhang (Note 2). 3. Place butter and chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl, microwave in 30 second bursts (takes me 1m 30 sec) until melted. Stir until smooth. 4. Add sugar and vanilla, mix, then add eggs and mix well until smooth and molten. 5. Add flour, cocoa and salt and stir until smooth. Stir in chopped chocolate, pour into pan. 6. Bake 24 minutes for really gooey in the centre, 28 minutes for fudgey but still very moist (my favourie, shown in video & photos), 32 minutes for moist fudge-cake-like. (See in post for toothpick testphotos). 7. If you didn't use the extra chocolate for stirring in, reduce cook time by 2 minutes. 8. Rest for 10 minutes before lifting out of the pan. Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting. Store in an airtight container for 4 days (bet they don't last that long!) or freeze for 3 months. Credits to RecipeTinEats for the recipe! Love her mac and cheese as well.
