Cool video, any idea for ideal tyre pressure for this? Iv tried a few times but maybe my pressure is too high. I was thinking too hard and it will not grip and too soft will risk rim damage.

thank you so much for mentioning the curb height, the curbs in my neighborhood are like 6 to 7 inches

This was a great tutorial! I love the idea of having the OW off and practicing that hip motion - never thought about that. I’ve been meaning to practice this (and bonks), but scared of bailing hard. Do you find yourself jumping off the board a bit at times, or just de-weighting yourself with feet still in contact of the pads. Thanks guys!
@FloridaFloatBrothers4 жыл бұрын
For sure! Starting out, our feet would leave the onewheel pretty often, but that goes away with practice. Focusing on the timing and being light on your feet helps keep you from leaving the board completely. The scoot motion with the hips also helped with lifting yourself and the board while keeping your feet planted on the footpads. Bailing out while learning to curb nudge is pretty easy since you aren't going very fast. I hit the ground once and that was just because I was going super fast goofing around.

Any other ways? Doesn't seem to work unless you have a fender or flight fins on. How do you do it with fangs on as well?

What's the heart thing for? I thought I got a response. I guess not.
@FloridaFloatBrothers3 жыл бұрын
Practice practice practice! We plan on releasing an updated video with more tips, but it really comes down to practice. Focus on being light on your feet and timing the nudge, starting small and working your way up is also helpful. As for fangs, they greatly reduce friction as your front bumper crosses a curb and allows the onewheel to work less to get you up and over. If you keep these details in mind and practice, you can do it! If you are still having trouble, upload a video of your attempts and tag us so we can help you understand what's happening! 🤙🏼 Stay safe!

ugh i keep watching this video over and over and just can't seem to make this happen. though today, i put the xr into "sequoia" lol and i got to board to climb the curb, though i wasn't on it when it did. my tire always spins out. maybe i'm not going fast enough or what i dunno what i'm missing...
@FloridaFloatBrothers3 жыл бұрын
Go slow and really focus on the hips. It will feel weird at first, but really exaggerating the hips helped us when first learning. If you're still have trouble after that, reply here and we'll see what else we can do to help
@swinefeaster3 жыл бұрын
@@FloridaFloatBrothers thanks for the lightning fast reply guys! hey, i just found this video, where they aren't using their hips at all. what do you think? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hbGFY9tk1ti-aGQ.html
@FloridaFloatBrothers3 жыл бұрын
Love Vache! That method can work, although it's always just seemed much more choppy and uncomfortable to us. Also, that method is easier if the curb is slightly slanted and not at a 90-degree like most curbs we face

Haha. Correction. I basically invented the curb nudge, and I never once shoved the fender with my rear foot, that was the advice of some knucklehead later. To get over tall curbs, just jump after you get the board tilted forward; the wheel will climb up on its own. Cheers.
@meriwald13294 жыл бұрын
How do you jump on the curb with OneWheel? You don't. For that there is an Electric Unicyle - faster, safer, cheaper. Long range, maneuverability, off-road capabilities.

Florida Float Brothers I watch all video :) you have some good skills 👍 3:29 is a crawling over the curb, not jumping :) just kidding , I know many rides don’t like to use fins as it locks feet too much, they don’t feel safe
