I have over 20 1:18 scale die-cast models and if I thought I could achieve THESE results, I'd customize every single one!! There are a handful of channels that offer these "restoration" videos but they all just "restore" it back to stock. I LOVE that someone FINALLY customized one - GREAT VIDEO!!!

@@cnovalles73 even worse about those restore channels, they just get beautiful brand new cars and destroy them, then undo their damage. I thought this video was one of those and felt horrible that someone would do that to my favourite car, but I was relieved it wasn't. I just put an offer for a used one on ebay, hopefully I can get one for 30 so I can attempt to customize it myself, going to practice on some cheaper fast n furious cars from Amazon first, don't want to use a beautiful maisto as my destructive practice (if it goes that way)

That is breathtaking work my friend. I'm baffled about the windows. I've had a go at restoring sun damaged windows on a Norev model and I had next to zero improvement so I just used the model for spares.

This car is really nice and is now my dream car. I love how he added carbon fiber to the roof and hood. The spoiler and exhaust is really nice.

Restoration and customisation is the best way to start scale modelling. Because scale model building kits are so expensive

@@JHHobby I have considered but I have such a pile of kits that I want to get to! Haha. The 1:18 catalog does seem a lot larger especially when it comes to newer vehicles, that is for certain.

I suggest you use some rolled up rope at the rotating table/display. It'll make the shot cleaner and seamless

that's another thing like some of their cars don't even need to be changed(except the inside more than likely) because some cars like their 1/18 gt500 are sooo good in the paintwork that it has no need to change it

This is really incredible! Have you ever thought about offering a service where people send in their diecast cars and you customize them as what they want? I have an FJ Cruiser diecast that I would love to have redone to look close to my actual FJ Cruiser, but I'm just not that patient nor meticulous to be able to do that.

I have a Maisto 1/24 370z it’s metal and I wanna do this so bad is there any websites that would have parts I know a lot of them are from kits and are plastic I’m trying to find ones that will fit the car please help I’ve been looking everyone and saw your videos but those are either plastic or 1/18 and it doesn’t match :(

Yes..i use 400 on the paint rash areas and finish it off with 800-1200 entire body

Hi, personally i dont think it needs to be removed entirely because by doing so we're exposing bare metal, if not properly taken care of it will have even more serious issues in the future😅
