I show you how to custom fit a mesh lower face mask to fit a pair of Revision Desert Locust goggles. I then remove the straps and mount the lower onto the goggles.

If there was an airsoft company who started making goggles/mesh mask combo like that, they sell like hot cakes.

There is one... It's called SIRMI (Mask with goggles called SIRMI Crystal). But there's a problems: it's expencive, awkward looking (lens fitting is rough, working, but rough...), and it's made in Italy (will take time to ship)

People who keep saying "you should have just gotten him a full face mask". Not sure if you're talking about full face mesh mask or paintball mask but If you've ever worn a paintball mask theres not much ventilation so during the spring/summer its miserable having something keeping your hot breath in. Not to mention how easy it is to fog the lenses up on a full face mask. -Moose

I just went airsofting this past weekend with my friend and my girlfriends brother. It was 35-38 degrees all day. My friend was running a neoprene mask with lancer tactical goggles and he CONSTANTLY was stopping to wipe his goggles. I was running mesh mask with shooting glasses/Goggles and i didn't fog one time over the 6-7 hours of playing. My girlfriends brother had a paintball mask and didn't have but a few fogging problems but come this spring when the humidity gets up hell have the pain my friend had with fogging. Mesh mask/goggles or glasses is easily the best setup. Waaaay less of a hassle and you get to enjoy the experience more. Just my 2cents -Moose

You don't need fancy equipment to be a good team. You need three things, Movement, Communication, and Team Work. I am working on a video series on How to Play Airsoft. I played a game of 1v7 the large team have full auto guns and I had a training knife, a spring pistol and two mags. I had to play very smartly. I didn't expect to win but I never gave up. I was the last man standing and still had a mag left when it was all over.

I tried and tried to get my goggles and mask comfortable on my face. My mesh was always too low or my goggles rode up and both were uncomfortable. I fitted the mesh and goggles together and found that the two attached together fit perfectly and more importantly comfortably. No cutting into or crushing the nose and the goggles weren't pushed up with the mesh strap squeezing the face. I didn't even have to cut the mesh. A perfect fit.

Revision also sells the Rx mounts and im sure there's a way to fit them in there, even if they aren't for the same model. Im switching to contacts just so I have my full fov in view, but they would probably work well for those goggles. They only recommend you take them to a glasses shop to get the glass fitted in

Hey, I use glasses with revision goggles,First I put the strap on the back of my head and stretch the goggles over, then I bend the goggles around my glasses. This works the best for me, maybe you should try it. The goggles are tight closer to the eyes and then they spread out, which is why I bend the goggles. Also, the frames on my glasses are big so I can see much more on the field. Good luck!

All I gotta say, is thank you! I use the lower face mesh mask because it forms well to my face allowing proper cheek welds (sighting with my cheek against the cheekrest on my rifle). I do custom fit mine to my goggles, however like you I always had the issue of far too many straps. I prefer boonie hats, better for camo (I run DMR a lot and do a lot of crawling, sneaking etc). However two straps on the mask plus the goggles plus the hat was too much. So I got a helmet and attached the goggles to it, and the lower face mask straps to it. So it's all one piece. While a helmet does save me from head welts, it raises my profile one inch (I've been hit several times where I was behind cover but they arched their bb just enough to hit the top 1/4" of my helmet), even though I threw a lot of ghille material on it, the dome shape is much more of a give away then the boonie hat. I've been dying to go back to a boonie set up for a while now, and I think if investing in a 30$ glue can make a set up like this, then it's worth a shot. Happy airsofting!
@DIYCameraGuy
@DIYCameraGuy 11 жыл бұрын
I am glad to hear that it helped. Good luck getting it together. Take your time while fitting them together. I had to use some small wire to hold them together after the glue failed The hot glue helps keep everything aligned and the wire holds it together.

May not be economically feasible, but I know that the military makes glasses inserts for their goggles and gas masks, you could look into getting a pair made, the people I know who wear them when they shoot have no troubles and they fit perfectly in all the goggles designed for them! I would be shocked if ESS didn't make a pair of goggles that didn't accept the inserts

In the future, a heat gun is _amazing_ for undoing hot glue. Just apply heat to the area until it comes undone. What you're dealing with there is probably high temperature hot glue which is not too terrible at holding things together (I have a friend who does theater costumes and she swears by the stuff), but will easily melt at the temperature a heat gun puts out. I discovered this through an accident involving a helmet I was making out of floor mat foam for cosplay and a second degree burn on my finger.

All you people saying "best dad ever" should be ashamed. Unless your dad is jobless, abusive, drunk 24/7, ignores you, and commits crimes, then he is the best dad ever, to you. You all should appreciate what your dad (or any parent) does for you, whether they take you on trips or spend a lot of money and time on you or not. They go to work every day and keep you alive, that should be enough to praise them, but you're over here saying your parents aren't worth anything just because they don't

Those particular goggles actually have an available prescription insert which snaps to the inside of them, just on top of the bridge of the goggles' nose. It allows you to see clearly, and without having the irritation that normal glasses cause. All you do is take the insert to Lens Crafters or where ever you get your glasses and have them fit the frame with YOUR prescription. They clip to the INSIDE of the goggles so they are protected from bb's. Plus, the kit is ONLY $20! You sould try'em out.
