I've been on Apple a few years now and this is the first walk through I've seen - it was recommended to me. I do like the new widget app though so may use that.. just not sure if I have the patience to do all the icons LOL. This is great though and I'll keep it in case I do. Thanks so much.

As a long time Android user who switched to IOS, I found customization on IOS is absolutely crazy! Luckily, I don’t do a lot of customization anymore.😂

Same here: long time Android user who switched to iOS awhile back. Here is a tip: replace the stock iPhone keyboard with Microsoft SwiftKey. If after setting it up, the keyboard hasn't changed, restart the phone. Make sure you look though SwiftKey's options. Not only is it all around better to type on, you can turn on a number row as well as other things. It also does a much better job with predictive txt (after you've put it through some use) and it lets you cuss. No more, "That's so ducked up."

Andrew, I commend you on your dedication in achieving this goal, your wallpaper is on point. Good line up on apps. I cannot partake in this 686 step process because I would lose my shit at “delete”. It would be easier for me to find Hades bedroom door, deep in the underworld but only after stopping for some Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with Dante and his inferno. lol. Not healthy. Hostile environment around every corner. Bottom line: Someone in that apple world is a sadomasochist who targets people w/OCD.

iPhone is good. I use one myself. However when one compares it to Android it falls terribly short. There are just so many things Android can do that make life easier. iPhone has a lot of ground to cover if it really wants to be a device that makes life easier. After all that is what a smartphone should be. Smart enough to make life smooth sailing.

To give credit to Apple. I think they do these things TO MAKE it easier and "smooth sailing". The more freedom you give the user the harder it is to control what they do and therefore harder to make it "smooth sailing". As long as you use the phone the way Apple wants you to then it's as smooth as it can be. Coming from an Android user (currently the Oneplus 7 Pro)

I find apple so easy to use, used to have android and will never go back Apple is easy to use and love playing with changing things on my iPhone. As an Android user who has just recently switched to iOS (mainly for work reasons) they really need to add some more customization options like a clock widget like that or allowing for free movement of apps on the home screen. It's the one thing I miss from Android

Hi Andrew, do you know if there's any method to avoid the animation made by the Dynamic Island every time you open a Shortcut? With my SE I tried a method to hide the banner which surprisingly worked, and I was wondering if there's something similar for the 14 pro as well. I've also noticed that when the 14 Pro does this animation with the Island it tends to become a bit laggy little in the seconds afterward, and that's not cool at all 🥲

Apple seriously needs to give us the option when long pressing on an app to "Change App Icon". Creating shortcuts for an app just to do this is just so tedious and not user friendly.
