I've uncoiled once and would be willing to do it again. I really wish EC would give the option of adding more note pages in the planner when you buy t. I'm like you and just cut the pages and move them around, or add some in. Lots of great ideas. Thanks for the video. I'll probably order the punch.

I haven’t uncoiled a planner. I found some A5 sheet protectors on Amazon and stuck them on the EC coil clips. I keep my monthly cleaning tasks inside and use a wet erase marker to check them off. The following month I erase and start over. I was tired of making a new list every month so this new system works great. Thanks for sharing!

Ive been uncoiling my planners for 3 years and I still will do it. I haven’t ever had a problem. I love customizing my planner exactly how I want. 🥰🥰

That is awesome! I think I'm too impatient to get the coil bent back just right so that it works the way it's supposed to.

For me this is the big rings vs. coil debate! I have never uncoiled but I used rings for a long time because of the customizations you can do. But I love coil planners and am now back mostly in coils and just using multiple planners rather than trying to customize!

I really want a pocket rings for my purse but I have literally no reason to use it. I think I just want to build one for fun because they are so customizable!

No, frankenplanning has always scared me. Sometimes I just use washing tape to add something I need in, but that’s about it. I do like the coil clips as well.

The coil clips are really great. I never really used to use them before but now I keep finding lots of things I want to use them for.

I have a love/hate relationship with planners for just this reason. I love the EC paper, covers, layouts, etc, but I like my weekly and daily planners combined. I have frankenplanned, but like you, I don’t know if I’d do it again. I’m going to try some of your suggestions and see how they work for me. 🙂

Yeah, that EC paper is the GOAT for me and I love their covers. I hope you find something that works for you! I've been using a week at a glance in my Daily Duo and I'm liking it a lot.

Thank you so much for sharing these ideas! I have thought about getting a rose gold coil EC notebook in the paper style I want plus a monthly, then moving my monthly spreads/tabs over once that month starts. This would allow me to use as many pages as I need for each month and have them in the month I wrote/used them :)

I usually snip out the back folder like you do, reinforce the cut edge of the paper with clear packing tape or washi, and recut the cuts. It works for the paper too.

I have frankenplanned an Erin Condren Life Planner and Academic Planner. I then switched to Happy Planner. I am expecting my Erin Condren today and I plan to uncoil it, frankenplan it and put it on discs. So i am uncoiling, but not recoiling. Hopefully that works🤞🏻

I don’t uncoil, I clip like you showed. I’ve clipped, saved, moved, reused back pockets, vellum, and individual pages. Works perfectly fine. I wouldn’t do a block of 20 pages that way 😂 but you can definitely do even a month of pages. I keep a few of the coil clip connectors on hand in my stash for “just in case.”

I have never uncoiled my planner....too scared to do it. I have frankenplanned with discs, which is way easier. The coil clips definitely help to customize and add in things to your planner.

I would love to try an EC on discs! It would be really awesome if EC offered that the way Plum Paper does.
