no shit, that was surgical type cutting, if i was doing it i would left a bit of metal and used a grinder wheel to even it up. but that man, with no tape, no visible to me lines, free handed a perfect cut. i know he had that rib as a guide but still

I'm currently doing this to a cressida. It wont fire. But the stock shifter on those trans feels preettyy daaannnggg gooooood

I used their kit on my 2j-cd009 swap, great product. But that shifter was way to notch for me and it was very difficult to find the gears, damn near impossible to find 5th and 6th. I recommend the serial nine shifter, it’s a bit pricey but it’s as smooth as butter and feels damn near stock

I've done something simular to this. 1uz-fe Toyota v8 to 6 speed transmission. designed & made a CNC machined sandwich block. still have the blueprint somewhere

even though that gap doesn't matter for the structure and it's all sealed up anyways, i can imagine there will be loads of dirt and grease and whatever getting through there and not being able to clean it... would be nice to seal that up one way or another.

So you have to cut that bolt with the nut at the bottom of the face before the adapter plate goes on?

What torque is that plate rated for? It looks like it has about half the leverage on the trans as the original housing.

Did he use Permatex Ultra grey/Optimum Grey or Permatex anaerobic sealer? From the blue sealant tube it looks like anaerobic sealant. He also had permatex ultra grey too. WTF
