I knew that watermelon would be sweet from the yellow spot that had webbing . FACT - If you turn a watermelon upside down, you should find a yellow spot, which is also known as the field or ground spot. This spot shows where the watermelon rested on the ground before being harvested. A large, yellow spot indicates that it spent more time ripening on the vine and should be sweeter.

The most flavourfully delicious part of a watermelon is the very center (the part the uploader bit first), but then every bite after that becomes less & less tasty. I do the opposite; I take off the rind, and eat the watermelon starting from the outside, working my way inward, toward the middle (so that every bite becomes better & better), until I get to the ultimate best part at the very last bite.
