How to Cut Cork Sheets with A Cricut to Make DIY Earrings

Cork earrings are HOT right now. And it is easy to cut thin cork sheets with a Cricut Explore. Even better - you can cut cork sheets on the Cricut Explore with the regular fine point blade and the green mat. In this video, I'll be sharing how I made these simple teardrop earrings. I show two different cork designs - Cheetah teardrop earrings and Tiger teardrop earrings.

I love that sort of ear wire also,. I thread them through from the "non-ball" side. That way they put no "enlarging" stress on the hole - and it's much quicker.

Beautiful! But you know instead of pushing the ball through the hole go through the hole on the hook end. (just saying) Thank you for sharing.

Milliliter is for liquids, and has an abbreviation of ml. Millimeter is for distance (length), and has an abbreviation of mm.

Pretty, but I would of put it on from the other in to avoid it possibly breaking.

Hi Sherri. This is my hole punch that punches holes less than 2 mm: amzn.to/2F62dsl This one cuts holes 2mm and bigger and is similar to mine: amzn.to/3h5fSwH

Once you have one image on the DS you can hit make it and then you can choose how many you would like to have by hitting the number and apply. EX: if you want 10 - hit 10 and apply. It will print 10 of the images. You can adjust if you have to.

Can you use the deep cut blade? and use a different setting? (explore air 2)

It depends on the material. My experience with a deep cut blade and cork sheets together wasn’t good. The regular blade (fine tip) worked much better for me. But when something doesn’t work for me I do as you mention, try a different setting. If I were to use a deep cut blade, I’d still stick with the Shimmered Leather option (assuming the cork sheet is .8-1mm thick).

Are you cutting the thin cork that I used on this video? If yes, I used the regular fine tip blade as I put my setting as shimmered leather 1MM (under the leather category). Congrats on your new Cricut Explore Air!

Bevie does keto_vsg Jones If the faux leather isn’t a Cricut brand faux leather, I find that most of them cut on the shimmered leather setting.
