How to cut corrugated PVCu roofing sheets

Obviously watch your fingers! But you need to keep the sheet nicely held down to stop it jumping around.
Cut was made using a basic multi-tool. The round blades fit nicely into the grooves.
Doing it this way should avoid any cracks from occurring.
You can also use a more discrete marker pen - it didn't matter here as it would be hidden from view.

I decided to get an oscillating tool for this purpose which does work nicely but the problem is that it is hard to control to get a perfect straight line. I found that using one of those thin circular saw blades like the Diablo 5-1/2 in. x 50-Tooth Aluminum Cutting Circular Saw Blade (I have a 5 1/2 inch) circular saw) and put the blade on backwards, so that the tooth is not cutting directly into the corrugated plastic like you normally do for cutting wood which tears it up. By having the tooth the other way, it cuts a nice clean straight line, actually cleaner than the oscillating tool. I also tried a much thicker blade like this KwikTool USA BB5510 C7 Bad Blade that claims it can be used on anything but I found it too thick for thin corrugated plastic. On fiberglass, it might be ok but still use it backwards.

You can measure the correct length and mark it on both sides of the panel, then line a straight edge with both sides then mark it across. Will save you time marking each crown.

FYI: masonry blade in a circular saw works great in cutting teftex. Even angular cuts

Easier if you put a piece of the sheet above and below the one you are cutting, just off your cutting line, it gives you a guide line but also makes the whole thing more rigid.

Sounds like good advice! Indeed would save you needing to mark the cutting line which will look better.

I used the paneling blade reversed and it was perfect. A little sandpaper and ready to install.

Did you try any other cutting tools like a circular saw or a hand saw?

You can also turn the blade on a circular saw around and it will do the same thing.

Mate Mark either side of the sheet and use the level to draw the line.

I just tried a normal hand saw and it shattered like I had hit it with a hammer. Not small cracks either, 3 inches lengthwise.

i used a metal thin cutting blade on a battery grinder otherwise same method worked a treat

i donot have this saw. and seems expensive to buy fora small project with one sheet. Can i use normal hand wood saw? or i have jigsaw machine.

Wood saw would just keep making it crack. A hacksaw might do the job, but won't look great. Jigsaw might work - but not sure?

So the uploader is using a multi-tool with a blade, as it seems he didn't point this out anywhere. An plain angle grinder will also work.

Thanks for checking. It’s a multi-tool with basic fine toothed cutting blade. A grinder would be too powerful a tool for this task.

Any should do as long as the teeth aren't too big. But you can get ones marked plastic/metal/wood if you want to be sure you're using the best for the job.
