Ey man just wanna keep it real with u and im not sayin this to be mean to be hatin on u but more as an encouragement but there was way too many steps u used to do this fade. To be honest i never seen so many steps and levels on a fade. U mentioned about that u didnt wanna make the lines too high otherwise it would giving him a army fade but thats what u gave him was an army fade. It was a really high fade and i really didnt even see the fade til u got to the top. It looks a #1 guard til u got to the top. I didnt see any blend after the finished cut. I know it "looks" more professional when u have all of these steps to making a fade but all those steps made this fade to look horrible. Once again im not sayin this to be hatin but just to point out some things to help u in the future. Much love and keep cuttin. U should check out Chuka Torres youtube page and check out his skills. Thats what i have done to help me be a better barber. Also, Vic the barber is a good one too. And i really like Victore Moore youtube page too. They all got mad skills so check em out. Humble yourself and watch their videos. It really helped me save time from making unneccessary mistakes in my barber skills.

I couldn't agree more. The reason why the cut seemed like a hi and tight is because he didn't erase the line of demarcation as he went higher. Rather, he cut it the same length as the line below.

No you don't bro. I'll try and explain it to you as easy as i can how i fade. Whether you use a wahl senior with a regular blade or a wahl senior with a fade (surgical blade). Or whether you use andis masters with a regular blade. No matter what clipper you own, you can do a whole CLEAN bald fade with one fading clipper and one liner. Multiple clippers used during a fade are for the experienced and are just preference! This is how i start my skin fades: (this is for example with a 2 on top, mid fade) LENGTH ON TOP IS A NUMBER 2. 1. Bald out an EVEN guideline around the head starting at EYEBROW level only with your FADING clipper all the way CLOSED and make sure that whole section is completely cut even. 2. Using your outliners completely bald out under the section you used your fading clipper closed, and leave an 1/8th of a section left between your fading clipper closed and your outliners. 3. Go back with your fading clipper closed, and kind of dig in to fade out the line between the fading clipper closed and your outliners. If the line does not dissapear, then go back with your liners and FLICK out the line. 4. If you are doing a skin fade and have a wahl 5 star electric shaver bald out a section UNDER your outliners, and use your outliner to take that line out (STEP 4 IS OPTIONAL) 5. Now make a 1/4 inch section with your fading clipper OPEN. 6. Put your clipper HALF WAY and begin the fade the bottom line out FLICKING. If the line is still there, go 3/4 closed, and then all the way closed. MAKE SURE YOU ARE FLICKING. 7. After you have blended out the section from your fading clipper open and your fading clipper closed. Make a 1/4 inch section with your 1/16th guard all the way OPEN. 8. Now begin to fade out the bottom line with your fading clipper half way making sure you FLICK. If the line is still there, go 3/4 closed and then all the way closed. 9. Now make a 1/4 inch section with your number 1 guard OPEN. Begin to fade the bottom line out with your fading clipper half way. If the line is still there go 3/4 way closed, then all the way closed. 10. Now depending on if you used andis masters or wahl seniors on this haircut the fade will or will NOT be finished. If you used andis masters the fade will be complete. If you used wahl seniors, you still need to use yor 1 1/2 white guard (3/16) all the way OPEN, and start taking out the line from the 2 on TOP and the OPEN 1 on bottom. Have your 3/16 guard open and work your way from all the way open (MAKE SURE YOU FLICK OUT), to half way, to all the way closed. Then your fade should be completely. I guarantee with proper wrist flicking, even straight guidelines, and even sections your fades with time will turn out flawless. I HIGHLY recommend you try this technique out, it's pretty much dummy proof. Let me know if any of this helped! By the way i recommend getting a wahl fade blade for you seniors if you own a pair, it makes taking out your line from your liners easy!

@elliottneblett2208
@elliottneblett2208 9 жыл бұрын
you can do it with just your seniors. no need for the masters. make sure you seniors have the STD blade (surgical not sexual transmitted disease lol) and it can get it done. instead of buying another fading clipper i would get the wahl balding clipper to bald out your heads to save on the surgical blade of your seniors. its only like $40.00 compared to 90-$120.00 for the masters on ebay. anything you can do with a master can be done with the seniors with an STD blade on it. i believe the newer models now come with that blade. check it to see if it has STD stamped on the blade itself. if you want to get fancy i would buy the wahl 5 star shaver to get the sides truly bald but that is on you. even if you did buy both, they would be roughly the same price as buying one master and you have two new machines and your arsenal could be complete with that. now you can always add clippers and trimmers if need be but that set up there will get all and any cut done.

@louiegarza9689
@louiegarza9689 8 жыл бұрын
No they all cut close to but different lengths. For example if you swap out the reg blade that comes on the masters and or the seniors n put a fade blade on them they will cut closer because of the thinner "FADE" blade. And as far as the Wahl balding clippers...those are like skinning with zerogapped outliners. They are REALLY sharp and will extend the life of your outliners... Hope this comment helps i know you werent writting to me but im a 12 yr vet barber n just tryna help out.... Good luck

To be honest I'm not too familiar with the Legends but if you Zero gap any trimmers they're gonna cut super close n then I would just keep an extra pair left the way they come out o the box to do any neck work just cuz the neck usually seems to be more sensitive for most.
@harryzed9090

Hmm. Can't i just do the shortest cut in the neck with a closed lever (zero gapped) and then just open the lever a bit to do the less short part above it?

All I saw was a bowl-cut with different clippers, at different heights. Then finally, I saw something like a fade. If people in prisons only use a comb and a piece of razor to bust out the cleanest fades, there’s no excuse for this dude to have all that gear to make a bowl cut...with a blend.🤷🏽‍♂️ I’m not a barber, what do I know

You said not to bald the sides too high but that's exactly what you did. You gave him an army cut. It was so high that the clients line up was not that visible.

This has to be one of the hardest tutorials to learn off. And the techniques used weren't standard. Don't get me wrong the haircut came out great, but it could've been done with a quarter of the steps. This would take someone an hour to do when a haircut shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes.
