reversed situation for me tbh, I've always cut and dye my own hair so I'm letting it take a break during quarantine. On the bright side, I'll go back to my original styles after the pandemic, unfortunately people don't do emo styles and consider dyeing their hair blonde to be "extreme", so I might not find a lot of newer emo kids :/

My generation was way ahead of this generation at the time. For the longest time I didn't realize that Emo and SCENE had anything to do with the style of hair. I really respect this generation. Seems like a lot of work goes into it. I'm sure eventually your hair will get easier to do each time if your training your hair to go to one side using a clip to hold in place before styling. I have tried the SCENE KIDS and EMO hair styles but I could never get it straightened enough and use an entire can of hair spray. Within an hour my hair was not holding on place. After watching this kind of video, i realized that the dam razor-comb would have really come in handy. Seems like the more the layers, the better. Especially people like me who have really really thick blonde hair. I would like to try it again following this young girls instructions!! WELL DONE!! 🖒

I just straightened my bangs I didn't even cut anything myself. My hairdresser did a pixie cut on me and when it grew out it went into this cut basically after trimming things. I would never have taken the time to straighten my whole head I used volumizer or texturizing paste on the back of my head.

use a stretchy headband and put it all the way around your head (google a picture for better explination) wash your hair from the back of your had to the front( flip your hair to the front when wetting it and rinsing it) you can use hairspray to keep it in a certain style and or a hat or beanie to keep it in a certain style. there are probably more ways but i only know those ones from when i was in high school

Like yes she's very pretty and the style looks good on her, but I mean if she ever wants to do something different she's gonna have a hell of a time and so will any stylist 😢 you have to be very careful when using a razor comb because any razor can cause extreme damage to your hair same with using kitchen scissors is a huge no no in the hair world 😭

I mean this is one of a few scene looks but it's not an easy one to have since it's a so much to the side, you would have to constantly have it to the side to look good since the way it was cut. I've kept mine the easy to stay cute scene since 2010 and it's faster to cut as well bit thats personal choice since I like to feel like I have thick scene hair without extentions and be able to wear it in many styles at the same time incase I don't want it down and around my face, or be lazy and not have to style it but it still looks emo. Like I said it looks cute, I am curious how it would look moving the part over to the basic emo look.

I suck at cutting my hair :( but my stylist doesn’t know how to cut emo hair. She tries to do what I want but it’s hard to explain even when I show her pictures of a finished emo hair look. It never turns out right even when she tries her best to do emo hair because she is used to other styles instead. Then it’s hard for me to style it right when it’s not cut right.
