I do this cut (single ponytail chop) every time I get overwhelmed by split ends and want to just chop them all!! Done it since high school and it comes out beautifully every time!

Do you get rid of split ends everytime you try the cut or you still have sme split ends left after it? And does it affect thd length of your hair a lot??? I want to get rid of splitends but dont want to cut them a lot short and layers cut from salon never cut all the split ends, moreover because of that i get split ends to the short length and therefore up to the top

I tried this haircut. It is important to brush well before made tail tops. The result is ok not to perfect and it hard to achieve by myself. my husband helped me. Don’t expect too many layers. It looks simple. But I am happy with result because I dont have enough time to go hairdresser I have little baby. I am feeling my hair more lighter after the haircut. My hair type is thick and has medium level waves.Thanks for the video 👍

Hi, how long is your hair? And did you try the 1st or 2nd technique? I love my long hair but need layers to give it volume and am too 'protective' to let anyone else cut my hair!

@@queenofthebutterflies5212 Hi! My hair wasn't very long before I cut it, it was just above my bra line on my back. I think I actually did both the 1st and 2nd technique. I would recommend to cut conservatively, and cut less than an inch for your first round just to make sure you are happy with the length. This cut gives nice modern face framing layers. Hope you love it!

You have to choose one of the techniques.If the hair is thick it’s better to do two ponytails.Otherwise choose the simplest method

The 2nd one is good only if you have your hair wavy or curly, or you are trying to styling it want more volume. The 1st one is more for straight hair

I had my hair cut and highlighted a couple of weeks ago and I hate how it was cut. I have always had a v cut but hairdresser wanted to cut the v off. Anyhow he cut the v off and cut it square and it does not suit me. I looked at this tutorial today and cut the first cut on this video. I have also coloured my hair aswell and it looks great. you have to cut to the same length; the result after cutting will give you locks of different lengths forming layers at the lengths, once the hair gains the natural lengths longer at the back and short in front and for more volume and movement after styling..

You have to cut to at least the shortest piece when all the hair is gathered. You can artificially create that line by taking a small chunk of hair from the back of your neck and cutting a noticeable amount (like an inch) off, then when the hair is all gathered into the ponytails, you'll have a guide to cut at. Cut at that shortest piece, no matter how much hair is cut off from the rest of the head, so long as you keep to that shortest line, the rest of the layers will come out beautiful and you'll only have taken off that minimal amount from your total length.

👋 so I did this. As it is,it looks ok. But when I put my hair in high ponytail, it's seems like I have two layers that are very far apart. How do I do this haircut so it would look good in a ponytail as well?

Use one ponytail in the front center. Make sure all hair is combed directly up to that point and the pony is tight. Also, make sure you pull the hair directly down over your face to find your cutting guide. All of those factor into the blending. :)

starting from the ear to the other passing through the top of the head, more hair at the back than at the front or even at the same level
