***Check out our FREE training on the 5 Success Secrets to Perform Like a PRO at auditions:
sidelineprepprocheer.com/succe...
Learning the different styles of each team you plan to audition for is crucial when preparing for the big day... but regardless of the style of dance, something you should ALWAYS do is dance with POWER and ENERGY!
Showing your personality through your movement is key to getting the judges' attention.... one way to do this is by being sharp, precise, and powerful with your moves.
So I'm going to give you the "inside scoop" on an easy way to give your movements that extra POP & what I'm going to share can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Plus, I'll show you a side by side comparison of the difference in dancing full out vs. not full out... that way you'll have a visual of what YOU can achieve after taking action on what you discover in this video!
P.S. Take the dance moves (AKA snippits) I show you in this video to help you practice being sharp and powerful before auditions! You can even use these in your freestyle! Remember... Your "Dream Team" might have a different style of dance but your energy and pop to keep the crowd going is always a MUST!
We wish you success in all that you do! And we are here to help you every step of the way to shine on the sidelines!!

Too funny.... it's actually not about cheerleading. Most professional "cheerleaders" for the NFL and NBA are dancers. We use cheer/motion drills to help our dancers dance with more power. It will work for you too, Promise!

i really like the soft x full out version comparision! when i started to put effort into dancing as hobby i always rushed a little because i assumed that dancing sharper and dancing faster had to go hand in hand so yeah, its pretty cool to see an example where the person still hits the counts in sync!!

The ending part is blank where it says Watch This First, Watch This Next. But other than that, I was literally saying this YESTERDAY!!! I need to be more sharp with my arm movements in the dance routine. I understand how I'm supposed to go about it! Thank you for uploading this video and giving me a better visual understanding.
@SidelinePrep

Sorry for the blank slides at the end... those have been updated. We recommend 2 additional videos to watch around dancing and performing full out. As far as dancing sharper... even though I'm a cheerleader at heart - turned pro dancer, MOTIONS are everything! They help you with placement and power. Doing motions drills is a great place to start. And of course we're here if you need anything at all!

@SidelinePrep

Working on cheer motions will help you dance with power for most genres of music/dance... especially pom, jazz, hip hop and pro cheer, of course :) When dancing certain choreography, especially ballet or jazz, you will likely be more fluid and graceful. In that case, working on cheer motions will help more with placement of moves but you obviously wouldn't "punch" your motions for ballet. Follow the guidance of the choreographer, but for pro cheer auditions, when in doubt, dance full out... with sharp, powerful movements. Hope this helps. Do you have any other questions?

One way to control your moves is to make sure you place them properly and don't move through the placement. Hit them... keep it there... and then go to the next move. Have you ever tried recording yourself so you can see what you need to improve on?
