LEARN TO DEADLIFT
.
A Deadlift looks different on different people due to the person’s height, legs to torso ratio and even arm length.
.
A person with longer legs would bendover more and have the hips higher in the set-up versus a person with average legs who would comfortably maintain the torso at 45° angle, and have their hips lower in the set-up. Increasing the barbell height gives longer legs people the same leverage as an average leg length person.
.
Taller people are more posterior chain dominant, while average height people are more quads dominant.
.
PS: At set up, the barbell should be right above the shoe laces, that’s the mid foot or around 1-2 inches away from the shins. Pretending to break the bar as mentioned in the video, helps in engaging the lats. Remember a Deadlift is a compound movement, so try that there is no energy leakage. It helps to use the belt as the Deadlift weight starts equating the body weight. I prefer no belt initially, in order to master brace the core. Breathing for 1 RM, advance lifts is different.
