Exactly. It’s illegal for them to force entry into the property. BUT BE CAREFUL because they are within their rights, if the door is open or if you allow them into your house. Best to either open the door and say this person doesn’t live here and close the door, or don’t answer at all

Hi everyone, hope everyone is alright. I want to raise a complain against these companies to the high court but one voice is not enough so please make some time and let’s work it out . I know we are all busy and working long hours to pay our bills in the end but we must do something about them. They contacted me about council tax, then I paid my council tax direct full payment. Yet they still want their fees which is 300£ for ignoring thier letter. They don’t want to give a discount or whatever. The worst thing they are so bad so please let’s raise our voice. These come must shut down

never complain it "will not be listened to.the people you complain to will 99% of the time come down on the side of the companies you are complaining about.a claim (with proof) is different to a complaint.whether you know it or not you are a commercial entity living under maritime/contract law

It’s your fault for ignoring the letter sent to inform you of the debt it quite clearly states in that letter that ignoring it and not contacting the council debt department will result in bailiffs calling and fees will be added in accordance with regulations so who’s to blame only you no one else so stop whining you were given prior warning

As them if they have a deed of assignment, they won't have one. Ask them if they have a warrant, unusual if they have one. Is there a liability order? (council tax) there won't be one. Don't open the door. Don't confirm or deny anything. Don't give any information out, of any sort. Ask them to leave. Call the police if they won't go. They are usually chances who won't identify themselves. Don't sign anything. If they don't have these valid documents they have no right to clamp your vehicle. Don't succumb to the fear, that's all they have.

they can only force entry for criminal fines and not civil debt i.e council tax,and they can only take proprty (not goods) if you fail to pay any amount you agrred on with them

Can they take goods from parents house for adult child’s debt, or my stufffor my girlfriends debt, or my goods for a previous tenant, do I have to prove goods are mine , or they prove goods are debtors

What can I do I was trying to pay for my debt on Thair website but it doesn’t work so I just leave it for couple months and now they taking to me to court without me knowing and they haven’t sending me any later

I had a 7 day visit warning letter a year ago they didnt turn up at all last year but they clamped my car last week with no notice ? my questions ae 1/ how long does this 7 day notice last for 2/ can they clamp a vehicle on private land not owned by me 3/ damaged my valve on my tyre when they clamped it

@@MoneyNerd thanks for replying I complained to the issuing council about the Bailiff his behaviour and clamping my car on private property not owned by me and said i would be taking legal action against the council and the Bailiff company and hey presto ticket was cancelled and my car was unclamped but it still caused me a lot of problems which was not necessary atomic bomb to crack a nut mentality still in the Council

They can not clamp q vehicle on private land or one that does not belong to you. Remove the clamp yourself, it's now classed as abandoned levy, charge them to its return They also cannot clamp clamp vehicle if its used for work or if it has a value of £1350 or less

Hi can you help me please I live in a flat i recieved a letter from a bailiff but it’s my first name and a different surename it’s for parking fine on a car I never seen am so stressed they will pin it on me too scared to call because I opened the letter I just saw my first name not the surename what do I do ??

Hello Moneynerd Two weeks ago I received a notification of Formal notice .Intention to take control Goods from an agent who was at the rented house with this notification saying that I have to pay a certain amount of money. After I saw the video from your post I checked the Agent and Companies on ... Justice (Bailiff Register Certificate) which says it is High court Enforcement But the exit is not registered and neither is the Agent? Please help me how to proceed. Thank you very much

My car was stolen and the thief who stole my car ran up numerous different PCNs , I'm now unfairly getting threats of bailiffs even tho I didn't commit the offence, I've proven this by submitting a crime number and proof from insurance company but TFL is still persisting because I was a couple days late making a representation

What do you do if they contact you with someone else's debt? The regulations are there to protect debtors. The usually tell me it is the fault of a credit score company and I have to contact them to stop this happening. And my complaints are ignored.

You're no way in the wrong if they have the wrong address! If you contacted the credit reference agencies, at most they could only update your file. So unless the debt is under their name, it's up to the bailiffs to update thier record. Show them proof of who lives at the address (eg. council tax letter) and they should leave you alone.

@@MoneyNerd they contact me because I have the same name as the debtor. They have even did a credit search on me, without my permission.

@@ngaugefan696 this is really bad. The credit search will be a 'soft search' so it won't impact your credit score. It seems you would be well within your right to file a complaint with the company and even report them.

@@MoneyNerd this wasn't a singular incident but catalogue of times. It is in double figures the number of times it has happened. Even had they same company contact me twice for the same bill. A year apart. They admited that they had accepted the first time it was a "mistrace". But said it was not harrasment.

I pay my council tax on direct debit for my flat, but all of sudden the lady on phone from council saying that I still owe them council tax from 2009 for 2 previous properties when i was living with my ex husband like thousands and thousands a huge amount of money!! Madness I was so upset and shocked on phone I said it's not mine she said oh well u was living there at the time!! I couldn't argue cos I have no knowledge or knowing my right i didn't know what to say.. but then I found out online after 6 years it will be written off if they haven't been chasing it before so do u reckon I should stop worrying cos they can't hand it to court or bailiffs cos it has been over 10 years now?

Stop paying council tax full stop, you are not liable to pay it, it’s a forced tax, you didn’t sign a contract agreeing to pay the council tax and it’s up them the council to prove that you did which they can’t, if you need a template letter to send to your council I can send you one, message me back on here and I will leave an email address so you can email me and then I will send you a template letter, don’t let these fraudsters extort money from you that you don’t have to pay 👍👍

No they can't, and change your locks, just keep the original ones to put them back if and when you move out

Never Never pay bailiffs for council tax do not engage with them at all,dont let them in keep doors locked etc and move vehicles and wait for it to go back to the council.The council will not deal with you until it's sent back to them that usualy takes about a year

Nah, because the mobility car doesn't belong to him. They can only try and seize goods that the debtor owns.

bailiffs can only force entry for criminal debt i.e parking fines etc.they can't force entry for civil debts i.e loans council tax which are not criminal matters

there is no such thing as a parking fine.you can only be fined by a court.a parking fine is a p.c.n (parking charge notice)it is a civil matter and you dont have to pay.if you can put up with the hastle then dont pay ive never paid one ever and never will

Are you working with these scammers? So you want everyone to pay bills? Guess what I didn’t pay my council tax for few months then my council handled the cedr group to collect their money. I spoke with council and they told me if I pay them that will stop them. I paid the whole amount but Cedr group still chasing me for their cost which end up to 300£. The enforcement agent was lucky that I didn’t hear my door when he knocked it and left me letter otherwise I will kick his ass and advise him to find a proper job. This harassment to human and they are not even human. In the end I didn’t want headaches but every few days I call them and swear at them. Guess what they like it. They are used to it. What I want to do is not only to seat with government or court. I want to seat with Low 😂 and change it this is huge gap in UK. Did you try to call them? Did you see how they talk to you? They only care about fuccking money. I want to raise a complain against these companies. I want the judge to contact them and hear them talking. Even in this famous show I forget his name he talked about them and he asked her that he always wanted to meet one of these shitty people. They are not human. I am calling this shit people every day and swear at them and my ref number is fuck off and fuck them and I don’t give shit about them. They want to sue me they are more than welcome as this is my purpose

I don’t think you understand why they are hated. Some knock on wrong doors or get the wrong person and insist and bully you to pay even after showing your ID. They even clamp wrong cars… so your opinion is invalid. I get their letters on a regular basis as some criminals think it’s ok to use my address. I even provided my ID/ proof of address and so so did my sister to no avail. They conned her off £500 as they threatened to take “all” her goods! She panicked and paid!
