(This is going to be long so sorry about this) but i feel like this Ki-61 played it pretty poorly. First off when you started the spiral at 2:14 I'm not sure if he was using flaps but I believe he should have been able to pull into that and kill or at least damage you there, the problem with a lot of these turn fighters is they require such little air speed to be able to get their nose on you and they never stall when they should so what ends up happening to me a lot is when they go down and I begin the energy trap even if they came in with next to no speed that little bit of speed they get from going down is usually enough for them to pull in and kill you if they can aim well enough which was displayed pretty well in this clip. Now he misses and that's fine but what he could have done was to try to reverse you. From 2:40 he should try to put his nose down slightly to gain any bit of speed to stay in your turn so when you inevitably have to try to pull into him he can deny you the shot and hope your dumb enough to dogfight him or to catch you when you try to run, instead he dives out which isn't too bad of an idea except that when he does so he tries to pull into you and evade by turning when he's way too slow when he should be pitching straight down and negative Ging to throw of your aim and abuse your poor rudder at high speeds so he can set up for a reversal which would have been possible since you commited to him for so long but since he was slow he couldn't dodge and what also didn't help was he just straight up doesn't even dodge at the end and flies straight allowing you to kill him!

This maneuver is called a rope-a-dope. Yours was a bit more elongated than standard but still achieved the same goal nonetheless.

I'm preety sure the Ki-61 played quite poorly and didn't use his flaps... in my opinion that fight was a lot closer than it should've been. no harsh feelings though

Se você gosta tanto de jogar com os aviões americanos como o P47 e P51, eu te recomendo aprender a usar os controles manuais do motor caso você use teclado e mouse. Você está perdendo uma das maiores vantagens do P51 que são os radiadores muito eficientes que produzem pouco arrasto no jogo, e os controles automáticos fecham eles no WEP, então com os controles manuais você consegue forçá-los abertos (90-100% dependendo do mapa) com o passo da hélice no 100%, para usar o WEP a partida inteira sem esquentar o motor e sem perder performance

From what I see, the main idea here in boom and zoom is to stall the enemy/make him lose energy then drop down and rattle him. Is this correct? (Also very cool tutorial.)

I dont agree with the ki61 fight,the head on was unnecesary,you should have faked it and climbed further to the side and up so he cant pitch up
