Hello everyone, hope everyone is well and safe.
In this video I’ll be showing you how to decant your perfumes. There are few things which no one covered on maintaining the quality of the juice whilst decanting, which I’ll be covering in this video. So do watch the full video.

if you want to refill the old bottle, you can get pliers and a tissue(to not damage the metal), then pull the metal sleeve off the top and it is plastic underneath, which just pops off and can be put back on with the same metal sleeve that you pulled off. unless the top is a crimp style closure, which will have to be cut off delicately with a razorblade and replaced with the plastic and sleeve style top since it will leak now. The sleeve style is obvious to recognize vs the crimped one. the sleeve is just a smooth cylinder with a 90 degree cut at the end(so it can slide off with a little force), while the crimped top is contoured to the bottle lip. There is also the convenient screw top, but those are more rare. for ex. the bottle at 1:30 is either a crimped top or screw top since it is ridged and not flat, while the bottle at 7:15 look to be just a metal sleeve over plastic because it is a simple flat cylinder with no ridges or crimping at the end(unless it is a screw top with a flat cylinder shell). That top should be able to be popped off or screwed off. either way, if it is crimped along the glass lip, it will be easy to notice.

I know this video is 2 years old but thank you! I did it! I decanted fragrance from my large Tresor bottle to my purse size diffuser (I think that's what is called). I've wanted to do that for over 3 years now and I didn't realize how easy it was. Thank you! 😊

How do you draw the liquid into the syringe so easily? When I tried, there is a suction/vacuum effect, and I can only draw a small amount, if at all.

I think it depends on the quality of the bottle. I’ve had glass bottles where somehow air still seeps through the screw cap. Funny enough, it seeps through some & not others, and they’re the same maker of the atomizer. I don’t really know what prevents it

Is there any negative effect to the perfume in the full bottle when you opened the atomizer and absorded the liquid with syringe? Like the performance became worse or anything? I'm kinda afraid because surely it's exposed to oxygen

No, this is the absolute best way when comparing to spraying into empty bottle. You do not expose it to pressurized air which preserves the top notes. When you spray it you may waste some of the top notes

Instead od pulling, you can push down and it will fill up without pulling. Its easier and more accurate imo. Try it.

@@kisitachi797 no, fix the syringe like you always do on that white pumper, don't touch the plunger, it must sit on the bottom without any air between the plunger and syringe, then push down the syringe as a whole without touching the plunger. It will fill up the syringe.

Actually there was one way to do it. There’s one instrument from which we can transfer juice. I’m not exactly sure on what it’s name is. But I’ll try to search for it and get back to this comment and let you know. But from Mancera screw cap versions, we can open it by unscrewing it. Thank you for watching 🤗

Worried about the price of darn .25$ syringes is hardly worth the headache considering most of the fragrances people are buying decants of cost hundreds of dollars per bottle lol Hence the decant. Making sure ots a worthy scent or simply trying it out etc without the several hundred dollar investment. If its just a 20-30$ bottle there wondering about most people will just buy it. Its a small cost to insure no cross contamination between fragrances etc. Another thing worth noting is not all nozzles are the same size so this way its all set when you need it again with no fuss.

We can decant both Dior sauvage and DHI with syringe. It’ll do no harm to the fragrance bottles brother. Check out 3:40 timestamp. You’ll have to make the syringe nozzle wide this way. Then you can easily decant it. Hope this helps 🤗

You can fill it in a similar way how we take out juice by syringe. Just press it in the opposite direction with juice in syringe. I’ve only seen it done but never actually tried it. So please be cautious 🙌🏻

I used a metal clothes hanger tip. Heated it and in circular motion expanded the syringe tip. A bobby pin works as well. Just make sure when the plastic starts to me,t, you give it time to cool before testing it with the fragrance bottle.
