This year, so far, I have unsubscribed to a few channels because they seem so fake and unattainable. I love the way you decorate your home. Hello there! I have always enjoyed your videos and regarding the floor lamp (which has great form), but you can always spray paint it a copper or brass color…something metallic and soft. Just an idea. Love your ideas and your bedroom is lovely! 😊

I did the same thing. I felt many were just unrealistic but pine and prospect was still on the list. 😊 I do wonder how you keep the white chairs clean with boys. My furniture is grey and it could use a weekly cleaning but then we farm/ homestead and are surrounded by animals and dirt. 😂

I totally see the pink in wallpaper. Even choosing paint is so hard. No lamp needed. Mix metal colors. But if it bothers you do rub n buff like someone suggested. Everything beautiful!!

I shop my home all the time time. I’m at the stage in my life where I don’t want to bring too much into my home. I will rearrange, and delete items first. You are smart about what you’re doing.

I’m in total agreement with you. I have found in the last four years that I want less in my home and Andrea’s home is so beautiful and I wish many times in the past that I wouldn’t have fell into the trending traps. I definitely shop my home. I like the floor lamp too. Maybe a soft blue lumbar on the bed in front of your brown checkerboard pillows. It looks fabulous, this is why I watch your channel. You know the difference in need and want! ❤

I only store a few things to decorate for Spring maybe one bin... same for Thanksgiving...but Christmas? I have over 20 bins! Ha!... I also shop my home, and once in a while, buy one small thing, usually thrifted (I just found a white rabbit candy bowl at thrift store, still had the HomeSense sticker on the bottom!).. I am a neutral color person... not farmhouse white per se, as I have a Traditional vibe... but just soft colors, greens, blues, grays, browns, white, black...nothing that jumps out at you! Lots of plants, pictures of my family, books, throws, pillows, baskets... re: floor lamp... usually, 'they' say you can mix metals,...so pick 2... and sprinkle around your home...I have Oil Rubbed Bronze and then silver... as I am not a brass person... I think for your floor lamp to 'make sense' in your bedroom, maybe try and add in a few other same metals around your room to bring it all together... that may help to unify everything! Oh! and FLOWERS..real/fresh...adds in loveliness... and also just cleaning, dusting, vacumming helps too!

Your home is absolutely gorgeous! Thrifted or not, you have such great taste. Enjoy what God has blessed you with. I'm sure it gets tricky trying to find new content all the time but I have noticed a trend seems to be just watching women working around their homes, cooking, cleaning, sewing, and crafting. Keep the floor lamp you have; it’s beautiful. The color lends a collective cozy cottage feel. If you had a yellow or traditional brass color it may look too “matchy matchy”. Also, I like that you don’t add too much decor. It makes me feel better that real life beautiful decor doesn’t red to cost a ton of money!!!

What a beautiful room…..I also love your message. I have lived in India for the past 8 years and collected many treasures. So I have them all in totes and decorate with those pieces. I now live in Singapore…..no big box places to buy beautiful decor, no thrift stores…..so I shop my totes😂

I love to shop my home as well. I have a small "decor pantry" in my basement, full of thrifted items and I swap out decor for the seasons. I really like the lamp by the chair. If you wanted, you could add some gold Rub n Buff to it, to make it more like your bedside wall lamps.

I move things around - it really works to refresh! For my bed I change pillow cases and throws to switch things up - everything else is neutral.

I love your home. It's very neutral, but very pretty in the details and serene. There must be something wrong with my screen because whenever you say something is blue, on my screen it looks grey. Also, when someone says something is red it reads orange on my screen. Lucky for me I have a good imagination and I can picture it how they're explaining it. 😆I love how frugal you are, and your DIY's. Maybe you can use rub n' buff on your floor lamp to get that golden tone you love. I have a silver brass lamp that I've been thinking of using rub n' buff on. You've inspired me to look for pottery. I have a lot of white ironstone and glass, but I love the look of pottery.

❤❤ as usual your room looks amazing… You know what would set it over the top? Some light blue and green hydrangeas maybe even some cream ones😮 that would pull in the blue and green you’re wanting to pull in and look so pretty, but it doesn’t need anything it’s beautiful just the way it is. ❤

I love the lamp style there. Could you Rub n Buff it to make it more the color you want? Beautiful bedroom and very cozy and relaxing. Love your style. ?? The bed warmer with the handle, what do they put in the “pot” portion to keep it warm for the bed. My German husband just answered it. They put coal in it on the floor under the bed. Learned something new😊

I love to change things from room to another room and instance new look to me. It always makes a beautiful new look that I end up loving. I think you should use folding shutters on the window over steps. Thanks, for the link on the dream .my husband has been struggling with sleep do to two years of ill health. Hi Andrea 🤗 first of all I love the floor lamp & where it is 👍🏼 second I do the exact same thing shopping n my house when I want to rearrange items. Basically the only stores I have n my town that have farmhouse/cottage is Hobby lobby & Michaels but really I only buy some faux flowers. I like to save my money so once a year my husband & I go to the vintage market & I hopefully find some treasures there 🤪 For our bedroom I’ve had the neutral printed comforter but now will change to our moss green one for spring/summer then add some cosmo flowers & some greenery! I love ur bedroom & ur choices mite I suggest one of ur paintings larger on ur tall chest I think that would b beautiful 💗

I could see the pink in that light paper before you even said it so your instinct is right. Love the floor lamp. A light touch of rub n buff and/or new shade (or trim) if you want a change. The overall aesthetic is beautiful - so calming.

To like your lamp. If it’s not quite the right colour for you, try rub and buff. Also a solid light blue pillow or two on your bed with the gingham pillows might look nice and tie in the bed with the other blues. Wallpaper is a bit of a commitment as it is a bit of work to put up and change if you don’t like it.

If you love the gold features, you could possibly spray paint the metal on the lamp, but I think it looks great as is. What a blessing to shop your home and find pieces that you may have forgotten about!! I love shopping my house and over our garage. I always forget what I have over the garage, so its like Christmas morning when I go up there. I love the lamp, I think it looks wonderful. I love your bedroom, its so beautiful❤ The beams are so pretty. I think adding the little pops of blue looks really nice. I do like the floor lamp, i think it works well in the space. I do shop my home, right now i have a room packed with decor, but we're looking at other homes right now and will be moving hopefully before summer. So I don't know what I'll need until i get moved. I know i have lots of decor but I'm sure I'll need more furniture, so we'll see when that time comes. Most of my home is second hand.. Antiques, vintage. I love antiquing, thrifting and garage sales! Never know what you'll find, it does take patience! Love the bed warmers, i have one on the handle hanging up also. Thank you for sharing😊

And of course your house is beautiful and I love to shop my home (and store) I have so much “free” stuff (furniture) from garbage night!!😂 (You are right about not spending a lot on furniture-older furniture is better made!

The best kind of shopping is shopping your home! It’s amazing how different decor items kind look when moved to a completely new space! I am the type of person who doesn’t move things around often, when I decorate it’s usually there for quite awhile because I love that arrangement and the look👍 I think your old floor lamp looks great behind your bedroom chair, it looks so inviting to curl up with a good book. I love your home it is beautiful and tranquil. The things you decorate with are you and your personality. They and you are real not something just to fill an empty spot. Love the floor lamp. Maybe recover the shade to introduce your blue/green . Looking at the finished overview a dusky blue would compliment your pillows.

That floor lamp is great, no need for another. I love the idea of keeping flower stems in clear totes - I will definitely do. I have some of the same stems.

Mikes Beam drink looked so much better with milk. Looked like a latte! Yummm I always love the soft colors of the muted taupe's, soft greens and blues in your bedroom. But I can never un see my favorite ... the bed in front of the window with the two brass wall sconces . That , to me, was the coziest, most charming, intimate little space. It could be in a magazine. Also Rustoleum has a brass spray paint that you could do the floor lamp with.

I love shopping my home and thrifting to save money. The lamp looks fine, but you could always use rub and buff or spray paint to make it a color that’s suits your decor better. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Your bedroom looks beautiful! You've chosen the perfect colors. You could find two flat sheets, with the color you like, one size bigger then the bed and make a simple duvet cover. It's like two in one.😂

Yes to the lamp, I like it. Yes, I shop my home first, I am in the same situation, live rural and and hour and half away from shopping, thankfully we have thrift stores and it works out well. Thank you for your reasonable decorating ideas.

You could try some blue candles in the wrought iron holder hanging on the wall, also, maybe make some pillow covers of blue and/or green gingham or checks. Love your paintings. I love shopping my home!! I love your floor lamp. Not all metals have to match. You can bring in another decor piece that matches the floor lamp. Small picture frames etc. It's all beautiful 🤗
