Thank you for showing an actual dirty toilet! It's kinda weird seeing people cleaning a clean anything like other, how to clean channels! I've always wiped down a dirty toilet before I disinfect it. To be honest I don't do it this way because I thought it would impede the disinfecting ability. I did it so I could just spray the disinfectant and let it sit long enough to do its job. It just made the final wipe down easier for me. Thanks for the heads up on dirt and crud impeding the disinfectant. I guess I got lucky on doing the right way. Lol!

I don’t really have favorite all purpose cleaner. Most all of them work for removing gunk and grime from toilets. As fat as removing toilet rings I use Wink Rust Stain Remover👍🙂

You rinse along the way. That’s why you must disinfect after you finish removing the soil👍

Another pro tip is to drain the bowl before cleaning it, that way the cleaner directly touches the filth, also use the toilet cleaner that cleans lime and rust, thats the good stuff

@@jaythemachine3845 Lysol lime and rust remover for toilet bowls. It comes in a black bottle. They don't sell it everywhere so sometimes you have to look for it. Its the only one I use, it gets the job done.

@@fluffy_mcflooferson4635 Its a bit of a messy process, but what I do is use a disposable plastic cup and I scoop up the toilet water and dump it down the shower drain, it doesn't take that long, and then I use a bunch of paper towels to soak up whats left at the bottom.

1) How would you disinfect the cloths and sponges after you used for the initial cleaning? 2) Also initially while cleaning off the toilet seat there can be small caked on fecal matter along with the dried pee. How would clean that off? 3) Do you rinse the cloth and sponges with just water between the areas of the toilet you clean or do you use a special solution? 4) Do you use different sponges for cleaning the toilet seat and under the toilet rim?

I didn't use a sponge to clean the toilet, I used a cloth. You wash your cleaning clothes in the washer to clean and disinfect them. If there is caked on matter you spray it with your cleaner and let it dwell to loosen it up, then it comes off very easy. Yes you will have to rinse the cloth along the way especially when the toilet is as bad as this one.

@@CleanWithConfidence But what is the rectangle thing you use to clean under the toilet rim? That is what I was wondering about. Maybe it goes by a name other than sponge? Anyway- do you throw that item into the washer as well and keep it for add'l rims? Thanks

@@TrainerInTraining oh I gotcha... sorry. Yes that is a sponge. No I typically just leave it in a plastic cup in my caddy and reuse it on the rims of the toilets. You can wash it in the sink with dish soap if you like.

I'm sure it's been said before, but the reason to wear gloves isn't just because things are icky, but because your skin is your body's largest organ, and toxic chemicals will and do enter your body through your skin. Even if it doesn't bother you, personally, chemical wipes, bleach, etc. may very well cause health problems down the line. I, too, never used to wear gloves, but would just wash my hands thoroughly afterwards. I eventually decided to try gloves and there's no going back. Stay safe.

Bro, even if you wash your hands afterward after cleaning the toilet, use gloves. There are chemicals that won't come off even if you wash your hands.

I'm perplexed having been married for 13 years now how a grown man gets pee all around the outside of the toilet. It's a huge hole to point at. Yet I'm stuck cleaning it all around the bottom of the toilet, the edges, why can't you guys aim in that large a space?? I mean, really. I have no kids, or maybe I do (a husband). I absolutely dread cleaning the bathrooms in this house.

Lol! I'm a guy as well. I'm also a clean freak as my wife says! She also has me trained pretty well to wipe up any (clearing throat) "misses" ! Lol! However we also have several grandchildren that visit frequently and I got to tell you it's a challenge to keep the toilet clean. Oh and it's not just the boys ,the girls sometimes don't sit back for enough and pee winds up flowing down the front of the toilet. Of course this is the really young ones. Problem is they are cute and they know it so it's hard to get upset at them. Lol!

In which way did you have in mind? Are you wanting to know the ingredients in each? The effectiveness of each? What did you have in mind? I ask because the way you use all-purpose cleaners is the same across the board. They are designed to remove soil from a variety of surfaces.

Yes you want to clean that as well. I made this video specifically for the toilet though and that's why I didn't mention floors or walls. I have different videos for that 🙂

Because it's not necessary. PPE is always personal preference. Ultimately, it's up to the individual whether they want to wear PPE or not.

Nasty toilets don't bother me, I just wash my hands afterwards. I guess it's because I've been cleaning toilets for 17 years and I am used to the filth. I'll put ketchup and mustard on that toilet seat and have breakfast. The bathroom is like a second home to me after cleaning houses for so long.

Actually , i was hoping you would show us how to remove those super stubborn stains at the bottom of the bowl. I think thats what most people need help with. Personally, I think I could figure out how to disinfect a toilet. Anyways, Im not too stressed out about germs. Its not like I'm going to eat off the thing.😂😂😂

I also clean without gloves, yet at 69 my hands look awful, due to harsh chemicals and sun. Use gloves with cleaning and doing yard work. Stay out of the sun.
