I believe that making steven the key to defeating every diamond is bad. Overpowering your protagonist because you made your antagonists to strong is bad writing. I think that the cristal gems should have a training arc. I mean, aquamarine and topaz destroyed them so them training themselves, finding out new tecniques and strengthening overall would be very intresting and anime-like, which, just as you said is where steven universe takes a lot of inspiration from.

This show is actually a secret tragedy writen by Shakespeare before he died. Therefore there is no happy ending. You cannot kill the diamonds.. we all know how Shakesy works. Lol jk.

Steven is really OP tbh. I don't think that this will happen like this because I just can't see Steven being mean, but it could be a big plot point if he had to make hard choices. I also can't see the Diamond authority collapse but more like them leaving the earth alone. I think there could be a fight but it may end in more of a draw.

now I have some old theories and some interesting things that could lead to bigger things. 1. Back when Steven, pearl, and Greg went to empire city during the song where Steven was saying why don't you talk to each other. Greg Steven and pearl resembled the diamonds colors (Pink, Blue, and Yellow) Now you can notice by now there hasn't been much connection between pink and white that had been revealed. So it can be said that pink yellow and blue have a stronger bond. What I'm assuming is that Blue had a deep relationship with pink and yellow was jealous or vice versa. Thus leading to blue being depressed during that will be all during the entire song. Yellow would later feel guilt or is sad for pinks shattering (if she even was). 2. Something interesting I saw during your mother and mine was that when pink was calling yellow and blues help Yellows hand was cast down with what looked to be an angry grip of her hands but not blue?

I feel like Steven Universe is like No No Kuni, but the antagonist’s goal is different. *_NI NO KUNI WWW SPOILER_* So in this case, White Diamond is the White Witch and the other Diamonds is the council. So White D (White Witch)will want to kill/shatter because something happened to her (PD shattering) . Then Steven (Oliver) comes and fights and does the action, but in the end he confronts her but then later then BD and YD (council) turns on her for her turning. It ends with White Diamond and the Crystal Gems win. Notice how each antagonist has plans to destroy the people of Earth for a mistake from before. Also, they’re moral is because someone(s) close to them died.

The probability of the Crystal Gems taking down the Diamonds alone is not possible, As peridot describes in “Messaged received “ ‘The diamonds are perfect un-stoppable beings, we were made to serve them”. We can see the barrier between the diamonds and lower-class Gems such as Ruby, Peridot, Pearl, Topaz, Amethyst etc. Although it Is probable, it is likely that it will be the Gems to take them down. But in Episodes such as “Super watermelon island” We see the Gems shredded by Malachite, a fusion of a Lapis and a quartz (From Earth). They barley manage to take down the unstable fusion with their combined abilities of 4 Gems, 1 of which (sapphire) being quite upperclass. Another example is “I am my mom” The Gems get destroyed by an aquamarine (not made exactly for fighting) and a topaz fusion. Now that is enough evidence for now to are us believe that Gems from the diamonds courts can be incredibly powerful. So these Gems were made to serve the diamonds, often sharing traits to their leaders, but when we combine all these traits together i.e: Blue diamond: Lapis, Aquamarine, Holly blue Agate etc, we really get a firm display on how strong their diamond could be. Although in the show we see blue diamond lose her ability to even think straight because she mourns about the past and how she “ could have done more” for Pink. I’d say if she were to battle the apparent gems to shatter her fellow diamond, which is the equivalent to her daughter, she would lose it, go absolutely crazy and try with all her might to take out the crystal Gems. I do not think they could simply “talk” to her, because she wouldn’t tolerate hearing the rebels tell her how missing the person they shattered is ok. Yellow diamond: We have seen enough of her court and enemy based weapons to grasp how powerful this diamond is. So far we have seen; A Topaz fusion, Peridot, Zircon etc. All of these gems hav incredibly high intellect. I do not think she would simply fall into a fit of distress for alexandrite to just come up and poof her. It would be hell of a fight with her ability to out think the gems and destroy them using her gem destabilising electronic powers. I don’t have much to say about white because we lack so much information we’d need to know. But I do think the power we see displayed by Peridot's limb enhancers and Aquamarines wand/ Hair tie, may be an electronic based power used by no other than white diamond, or even possibly blue.

Despite Yellow trying to get over Pink's shattering, she is subconsciously hung up on her. When Peridot connected to her in Message received, Yeallow's newest moon base is pink colored. Not sure if anyone pointed this already out, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.

I think it would be more of a battle of fusions. Because, they can literally just step on all the other gems. I prefer to think it will be them jumping and dodging, fusing left and right to trick them up and attack. Or all the crystal gems fuse into one huge fusion, and overpower the diamonds.
