bad conduct = dishonorable discharge.....bad conduct MAY lead to dishonorable discharge PLUS he was demoted to E-1 rank , lowest rank possible lol But no jail time that's uncalled for , dishonorable discharge gives you a bad name for the rest of your working career , employers might not hire you so he's fucked ,and demoting him to E-1 rank from a sergeant rank of E-5 was a slap in the face on the way out , when you enter the military and you are still a nobody that when you're an E-1 . It's easy to build up to E-3, takes BCT then advanced training and some time ....but if you already have 60 college credits you can start right at E-4 which is a specialist rank, as early as going to basic training. So demotion is a slap in the face.

((rant incoming haha)) All that shit was donated to the Afghani military. How tf you expect a skeleton force of 2500 US soldiers to secure a nation's worth of donated equipment their allies straight up abandoned? Send in more troops first, try to secure it all and slowly withdraw? Naw, not only would it have required well over tens of thousands more troops to secure all the locales, but then the Taliban would immediately resume attacking for breaching the deal and the Afghani military would still be deserting since they know their days are numbered, leaving only American soldiers to fight and die trying to secure those bases/weapons/equipment (and you know the Afghani military is corrupt/cowardly enough to sell/donate their gear to the Taliban anyways for amnesty). Promise to take the Afghani military with us when we withdraw to prevent them abandoning their duties and positions? You tell me how much you actually trust an entire foreign on American soil, especially a military notorious for incompetence and being infiltrated by terrorists. Not even mentioning all the civilians we still would've needed to evacuate. Situation was fucked from the day DJT decided America will negotiate with terrorists. Signed a deal with the devil and now Americans and Afghans are paying for it. Not saying the current situation is that much better. It's still a fucking shitshow. But I'm pretty sure the military and administration was basically stuck between choosing to risk the lives of hundreds of more US soldiers fighting the Taliban mostly by themselves to reclaim military tech their allies abandoned due to hearing about a deal the previous administration struck vs just saying fuck all this noise, the situation will end up the same the moment we leave anyways and just pull out now to minimize US casualties. In the end, the administration chose to value US soldiers lives over everything (and everyone) else. Whether you agree or not is up to you, but then you tell those soldiers to go back in there and do whatever you think needs to be done if you're so adamant in decrying the situation. Y'all also be crocodile crying over 13 soldiers dying but would've still been bitching about potentially dozens more US military casualties if we had resurged troops back into Afghanistan anyways. Some fucking "patriots" And if any of y'all be military and spewing this shit, then y'all are just a bunch of blue falcons and know deep down you always were. If anyone thinks of some better answer to the current situation in Afghanistan that doesn't involve nukes or genocide (cuz that's REALLY not a better answer just y'all showing why we should execute you to prevent future crimes against humanity), then by all means please let the people know. But for now, y'all are just a bunch of fucking blowhards looking to exploit foreign suffering for cheap political points among swing voters who are so insulated and removed from most politics that honestly any big news story will swing them over one way or the other. All so you can get the political power to make the military do this shit all over again. Stfu and gtfo.

@@whisperingshadowXI Well, you are right about the cost of vs utility comparison here, but I have one problem. Aren't those military wares stored in army bases and warehouses? Isn't all this hardware concentrated at one location? You don't need soldiers to do that, just bomb the entire store. US don't have qualms bombing civilian locations for a few terrorists, they could easily bomb these military surpluses that are abandoned by the ANA, with little to no loss. And forget about the humvees, what about the Blackhawks? Those are far more critical pieces of tech to fall into enemy hands. Wasn't that the reason one of them was promptly destroyed during the Osama raids in 2011 after it crashed? The ANA fighter planes could also be destroyed in a similar manner. Instead they were simply handed out nice and ready at airports. What a fucking shitshow. Show SOME spine for god's sake. You are right that US shouldn't have been conducting diplomacy with the Taliban at such shitty terms. But to not even have contingency plan for situations like these is simply woefully bad leadership.

There's also the low-level parachute extraction system, where a drogue chute is released out of the back of a cargo aircraft flying just above the ground. If the ground is fairly flat, it may even land, drop the cargo, then take off. The chute pulls the cargo pallet out, with smaller chance of damage. Saw many a pallet full of MRE 's explode when hitting Mother Earth from any of those procedures shown.

@@Michael-pt8gj depends on if he deployed, notable merits, NCOERs, ect. At a minimum, if he was the model soldier and has alot of people backing him, general discharge. I dont remember exactly what happened to him, but my guess is he didnt have to pay for the humvees, got pay/grade reduction, then got kicked after doing his extra duty lmao probably got a "less than honorable", which gives you the chance to have it changed to honorable at a later date through the VA.
