Thank you for the video! Would you recommend working for Deliveroo as a full-time student in Aberdeen? Is it worth starting now when it's probably for only about a year? Is Deliveroo better than its competitors or can/should you just register with more companies? Is the registration process difficult and do they reject many applications? Thank you and sorry for the number of questions. If you have any videos explaining the initial steps of becoming a delivery rider, I'd love to watch those!

Tell me about it...it took me like 6 months mate! They have recruitment drives at different times of the year but the industry seems to be on the decline so just bare that in mind :/

Hello Jay , You are making very helpful videos for new riders very good job mate! I just started with just eat on bike account. I applied for the deliverro too but I have a problem with the final step I think . They rejected my application and I have an email saying I have to apply again do you know please how I can apply again? I tried it but it says the applicant is exist. Many thanks

Hi Jay...With the rider ID face scan, do you only do it when requested or can you choose to enter the scan whenever you log in. I ask because I heard a story in somebody's comments section (may have been one of your's) about a rider loosing his account because he had grown a beard and he didn't match his photo when he arrived at a customer's address. The customer reported that the driver wasn't the one in the photo and he was deactivated.

No worries Faizaan! These type of videos definitely take a lot more effort so I appreciate you for seeing that :) It can take a while to get your Deliveroo account activated so just bare that in mind! I wish I had this work when I was 18!

Has any of your delivery bags ever ripped in places like for example near the traps? Bc my Stuart bag did right at the top part under the main straps and you could actually see how poorly it was made like the main thing it was stitched to was rly weak and it ripped because of it but luckily was able to fix it with my father's help. He used a aluminum thin long plates on the outside and inside of the bag and screwed some bolt screws in it (vage info) after making the holes and the bag feels way better somehow making it much more sturdy and comfortable 😁

Not really mate. I tend to replace bags before they start falling apart but if you are delivering like crazy doing full-time hours then bags will start to get worn and they need replacing often. I do this part-time and my bags last 6+ months and they are still in good condition but I like to replace them to keep things fresh.

Very informative, thank you Jay…..I never knew there was an electric bike setting until now🙄. Now off to change that thanks to your other video. The thing that confuses the st!t out of me is the stacked orders. If possible could you please do a video on that, how to know where both are going and how to reject the 2nd if it’s going miles away for an extra quid (like it usually is)

No worries Steve! I didn't realise until someone mentioned it to me! When you arrive at the restaurant that's when they give you stacked orders, when you get one click on the map on the order screen and you'll see both locations. If you want to reject one or both of the orders then click the question mark in the top right hand corner and it will give you an option to reject orders by the order number. Hope this helps!

How you manage your estimated arrival time , because app doesnt show how long its gonna be your journey , may be delay or not , google map show estimate time but delivery app doesnt show this time ,may be early or late

On most of your videos you have the map closed when ridding to the customer how do you find where your going ?

I have Google Maps open but I hide the screen when I'm close to the customer so that I don't have to blur my phone screen because it can show their location. So hiding my screen saves me time having to blur that out.

My dad designed my electric bike many years ago and I’ve never had to use any other bike because it’s well built! He has an electric bike shop in Nottingham called PoweredBicycles 👍

Hi Jay, I'm applying for just eat & they're asking for my VAT registration number? How do you go about getting that? Also I'm on the waiting list for deliveroo & they keep asking for my ID. I gave up sending it, is that like you sending your photo? Think I've done the wrong thing there. Oops

Hi Stephen, I don't think that is relevant to you unless you are VAT registered which I don't think most delivery people are. Follow the instructions Deliveroo send you mate 👍

Tax is a tricky subject. This is best handled by an expert because I don't want to say anything that isn't correct because it has legal complications. I can say though that I use untied.io to help me do my tax return and it makes my life so much easier. It's fantastic for self-employed people and if you have a employed job and do some self employed work it works really well too!

I will start using Deliveroo soon, but I have a question, I have a phobia of elevators. While taking orders, there are elevators in some buildings, I cannot take the elevators, but if there are stairs in the buildings, no problem, I can walk up the stairs. In England, buildings are always small, so there are houses that do not have elevators. Having small houses, that is, buildings without elevators, is very good for me. But are there any buildings in England that do not have stairs when taking orders? I guess all buildings in England have stairs. But maybe there are buildings without stairs. Have you ever come across buildings without stairs while delivering orders in England?

Cheers Eoin! You have to submit a self assessment every year...this is self-employed work so you need to pay your taxes not your employer. Hope that answers your question!

I want to ask please i cant see the customer adress until i collect the food do any one know how can i see the adreess in deliveroo ?

Before you accept the order you should see the address. After that you can see the address only when you arrive to the restaurant I think. So when you arrive press arrived then click on the map and you’ll see the customers location again.
