Dear sir: I used visual studio installer to create install file for excel add in, and when install the add in in win7 it works, but in win10 , it's not loading in the excel, same as ClickOnce way, do you have any idea about this?

Hi again the excel addin installed even as excellent as well. So now i need to figure out where all you need to put the extra code when working with the addin via xml. I suppose you just need tot add the extra subs as in vba.

Is it possible to create a VSTO and keep the logic inside the file itself? I mean… I would like to avoid the installation … and also being possible copy my file and share with people… is there a way to do it?

Yes, it's possible. You can create a VSTO document-level customization, which embeds the logic directly within the document (Excel file). Users can then copy and share the file without the need for a separate installation.

Is it not possible to create a simple .xlsm file as another user can copy the file and paste it into the excel Add-in default folder? In my office, EXE installation is not possible.

@@VBAA2Z 1. Sorry I did not make me clear. I have followed your ur VSTO add-in series and create my add-in. Now I want to compile my VSTO code to a .xlsm file (code will be 100% secure; may be DLL or any system binary file creation) rather than creating EXE file. Because .xlsm file easy to include in Excel; no installation is required. 2. And another point is VBA Excel add-in doesn't have any security to hide as so many silly password cracking tool can break the VBA password. If you can create a tutorial for us to secure VBA code (100% not crackable), that would be great?

Where can I find info on the post deployment side of the equation? You refer to this @ aprox. 21:26 into your video. The post deployment steps for user drive that you refer to can you give a link to the exact section in your blog please? Maybe a link to the correct video. PS I deployed a word macro based doc and for updates I just use the open event to check if my share-point has a later version of the file on my desk via date--time-stamp. If yes i get the later version and add it to my desk etc ........ I'm guessing these post deployment steps are similar but I'd like your input here.
