Why would you go into savage dragon if you don’t have a link in your GY? Would it not be more beneficial to go into full armour? 🧐

I had a question come up during my ruling at my regionals the other day. I would really like someone’s help explaining it. I had 2 blackwing assault dragons with 4 counters each, i quick effect tribute the assault dragon and use black feather whirlwind to protect it and my head judge told me I can’t do that.. even tho I’ve had it ruled in my favor in the past. Can someone please help me explain why it’s legal.

I think because assault dragon is tributes for cost. So it wouldn’t be saved

@SirDelow if you had 2, why wouldn't you be able to activate the effect? That makes no sense. The one that's tribute cannot activate the protection with BFW but the second one that is still on the field very much can.

I have a shifter version I tweaked from Kanek. I don’t have it 100% figured out but it’s been effective against Kashtira and fire decks. I run a bystial version which has been successful against these decks as well. A bit more of a struggle going second but I’ve found that the more I play the decks the more I know when to interrupt them where it hurts them most.

Thank you! If I would decide to play Shifter, I would most likely go for a more "control" build that would play Dragoon and Bystials!

How did you summon the synchro monster from graveyard on 7:46??

He didn't summon from graveyard. I assume you mean the blackwing assault dragon, which can synchro or special summon from ED by banishing 1 tuner synchro (boreastorm) and 1 blackwing dragon from field or graveyard. For instance if I have boreas and bw dragon on the field (and boreas uses its effect to send a lvl 2 to the gy, making boreas that lvl), I can synchro into assault dragon then banish boreas + bw dragon from gy to special another copy of assault dragon. So Basically 2 copies of assault dragon for the price of one. In the case of the video he did not synchro summon the assault bw, just used its effect to special by banishing materials from gy he had set up prior. He sent bw dragon to gy as cost for Chinook effect, synchro boreas.

Only if you play it as chain link 1 straight on Apollousa since Apollousa is once per chain! That's why you want to bait the negation and then chain Chinook as chain link 3 to Apollousa!

i noticed maxx c is acctually good for the game. it balances the game between the decks more. i think in tcg the chance is higher you would lose game 2 because of no maxx c.
