Please spay/neuter your pets and don’t let them breed anymore. Every puppy or kitten born equals a shelter animal dying. Please be a part of the solution, not the problem. If she was one you took in and she was already pregnant and you got her and the kittens fixed, then thank you.

If you ( in general) spend a lot of time with your cat before pregnancy than she should be fine with you handling them , but if you don't spend a lot of time with your cat she won't let you handle her kittens as much , I had my cat since she was 5 weeks old her owners threw her and her siblings out in a box and she was the only one left . now she is pregnant because she got outside and she loves me so I'll be able to handle her kittens ..I'll post videos and more info when they are born

+lizzy fuzzyXD - I searched for this video because my Russian Blue, Violet, had babies about a week ago. 4 of them. None of them are full charcoal grey like her :-/ ...but they are still pretty neat looking. They look like the wild cat (probably the father) that used to hang around my property. He's a grey and white tabby, I think. A couple of the babies are just black and white, and a couple look like the tabby. When Violet first started coming around, I thought she was some exotic style cat because the dark charcoal grey was so slick and beautiful. I found out she's a Russian Blue...One of the prettiest kitty's we've ever had.

Sure she was. They're not as delicate as you think. She handled them about the same way a vet would. They were crying because kittens will cry at any smell that is not their mother's, and mom wasn't overly stressed. A stressed mother will literally take them from you and disappear under a couch or chair somewhere. It's all about the individual cat, and her cat seemed comfortable with her. She let her stay near while she handled the babies, and smell to see that they were all fine. My cat is very comfortable with me, and I only handle her week old babies once a day to check weight and warmth and the babies cry and Pumpkin answers them but when she decides it's time to be back in the nest, she lets me know in no uncertain terms. No need to worry. Miss catdogcutie seems to know what she's doing.

10-14 days...I can't really remember. If the ears are still folded and eyes are closed then probably the kitten is less than 2 weeks old

Thanks. One eye was open when I found her, and I think the fear may have forced that. The other opened later that night after I washed her. I know your not supposed to, but she had insulation and stuff on her. I guess she's around two weeks old then. Thanks again. 😊

Chris Crawford by the way, you can try feeding her kitten food (mash it up real good) if you cannot find KMR (kitten milk) at a pet store. Might be too young for kitten food but it's better than nothing especialy that young the kitten needs warmth and fluids. I fostered some 10 day old kittens (mom got run over) and they thrived on watered down kitten food and pet milk (should be pet milk from pet store). I think it only cost me $8 and that lasted them a bit more than a week and then after that they began eating on their own. Make sure to feed every 2-3 hours or every 4 hours during the night/if you are very busy.

No, that's not accurate. First off what do you mean the mother will regret them? That's not accurate either, the word is reject, but a mother cat rarely abandons or rejects her kittens, and in the abnormal instance she does, it's not because they were handled by a human. Get educated before you try to educate others.
