hello i have this unit working fine until. i uptaded my speakers on my truck. if i onpen the ignition switch without turn on truck radio dimer fustion works like it suport to( dims when headlight on). but when i turn on truck radio goes on dimmer option even with headlight not on. crazy.. why is this happening.

My dimmer setting went grey and I tried the parking break but it is still grey. Can you help? My stero is avh-x491bhs

You'll need to engage the parking brake, also known as the hand brake. You can see it in this video very similar to AVH-X491BHS: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fNqBZa-GuryVfaM.html If you engage the parking brake and still can not operate the Dimmer controls, the Green Parking Brake Wire from the in-dash receiver may have an incorrect connection to the vehicle. The parking brake is also known as the hand brake. You must engage the parking brake also known as the hand brake for this to work. You must have the Green Parking Brake Wire installed correctly for this to operate. I tried this with Parking Break and Hand break up and it still won’t let me select dimmer settings is there any way to fix this?

You’ll need to engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake in an ON-OFF-ON operation in order to access the Bluetooth setup menu or dimmer settings. This might also be known as the Hand Brake or the Emergency Brake. If you engage the vehicle’s Parking Brake and still can’t access the Bluetooth menu or dimmer settings, the in-dash receiver’s Green Parking Brake Wire may have an incorrect connection to vehicle.
