Just finished doing this on my 88 Cabbie! Couldn’t done it without you, THANKS!! Gauges were a bit different but it was the same process. Only hard part was pulling the circuit “board” with out breaking it seeing it was extremely brittle. You’re a life saver :)

I did two things differently. I was able to remove the circuit board without removing the foil and, I unsoldered the pin instead of bending it over. Other than that, this is just what I needed. Thank you Van-Again.

Hello, great video! But I have one question - this disable only the buzzer sound or warning oil light too when buzzer turn on? I understand that this doesnt disable oil light when I am starting the engine - low oil pressure sensor, but I disabled that thing which makes that buzzing noise and oil light is flashing anyway. I have additional oil pressure gauge and new oil pump, also new high oil pressure sensor. Oil pressure is great in my engine but that light still blinking, I want to keep that light only when pressure drops to minimum.

Would the pin be the same one on a right hand drive?

Hello do you know, if it is posible To do something like this. For golf mk2 dashboard. The print board is behind the tachometer. the dashboard is the one whit only one connecter. Greatings diempie

Or……… you could just ground the oil sensor wire and it would never buzz again, and it’s way less invasive.

hmm. I don't think anyone on KZfaq actually knows where the buzzer is. There's no way I'm taking the speedo out. Unlesss the buzzer's in there... who knows?...
