Thank you so much for this tutorial - I accidentally switched talk back on this morning and it was driving me potty. Turning it off again was not intuitive, and without your video, I could see serious damage happening to my phone just to get it to shut up. Thanks.

Thank you so much for the helpful how-to. I had no volume on my Note 10 Plus, I looked up how to get the volume back and the thing that seemed to work for everyone was turning on Talk Back. Made sense to me. But once Talk Back was enabled, not only did I still not have audio on my phone but I didn't know the gestures to use to turn off Talk Back or to even get out of the screen. And here you are, showing exactly how to turn off Talk Back with the correct gestures. In the process, I discovered that my phone was connected to my earbuds and that's were all the volume was going, including the Talk Back voice. Thanks again.

Thanks for the video! For anyone with a Samsung A20, follow the same steps: Settings > Accessibility > Advanced settings > Speak keyboard input aloud > turn off.

For those that don't know there are 2-3 voice assistants on the phone, "talk back" and "voice assistance" are two completely different things that do the same thing. If you wanna turn off voice assistant follow the video, if you wanna turn off "talk back" navigate to the accessibility option, tap it and scroll down to "installed services" tap that and in that menu talk back should be the first option. My grandmother had turned this option on so when I went to turn off voice assistant (which was already off) the assistant was still talking through the phone. I had to turn off "talk back"

Thank you so much. Very helpful content bro...... I done it by a mistake and couldn't even Google. I then tried to use Google assistant to search how to turn it off it then this annoying voice was over talking so the assistant was confused and couldn't understand what I said. With no other cellphone, tablet or laptop, I turned to my smart TV and the first Video was you. Thanks again. One thing I want to remind tho, I have Samsung galaxy s9 and its the same so you might as well add for Samsung s9 in your title..... Take care man :)

Googled how to read a Kindle book on the Kindle app & found an article which said find & turn on Talkback on your phone, so I did! And since then it's been a bloody nightmare! Thank you. Must be some sort of glitch on the Samsung Note 8. Voice Assistant was never turned on. Had to turn Voice Assistant on and grant permissions, then turn it back off for this to work. In the end, it all worked out.

I FOUND THE ANSWER And it is far easier than he explains in this video!! simply hold the power button down for a few seconds. When it gets to the SHUTDOWN screen.... don't press any of those options. Instead, simply hold down BOTH volume buttons at the same time. That is how to turn ON.... or OFF.... the talk-back voice assistant without going through a bunch of menus. ALSO THIS IS WHAT EVERYONE IS DOING WRONG TO ACTIVATE THE STUPID OPTION. Now I can show my wife what she is doing WRONG to activate it.... and how to simply fix it. Thankyou to commenter Tayeb Elshaikh for the REAL method of turning it on or off EASILY.

I tried that first - it doesn't work if one hasn't already switched on the talkback shortcut menu.
