Thanks for making these videos! Your helping out all the 1st time farmers like myself. I got about 4-5 acres i'll be doing something with haha. I've been buing various equipment and borrowing some from my friends/family to use with my ford 9N.

I plow, disc, then till. I use a cover crop in the fall.

When you " turn it under" in the fall, It is called "laying fallow" over the winter.

Man, I thought I had some bad clay soil here in Wisconsin...I wonder if they could add compost to that red clay soil to help breack it up, compost helps in my garden...I just happen to be looking for a small 36"-38" disk or tooth harrow with a single point attachment.

I guess that I don't need a disc if I have the tiller, which I do have. It was nice to see what you can do with the disc though.

one problem with tillers is the weeds wrap around

Would it be better to add a little weight to the disc?

he need some concrete blocks on the rack to add some weight to prevent it from bouncing so much. my granddad use to do it and it worked

he needs some concrete blocks on the back to help it go in the ground a little more. I notice it bounces too much. that's what my grandfather use to do

I live near ashville and damn I cant believe any part of NC looks like that, it looks like florada but with clay instead of sand. pretty effective product though, but we till our whole half acre garden with a 8 horsepower hand tiller, I bet that is way easier though.

Don't see that many palm trees in NC. Did you transplant them?
@EverythingAttachments7 жыл бұрын
Yes, we brought them in from FL. Thanks for watching!
@jesseby12311 жыл бұрын
welllll.......yes.......but what i do is put some weight on it....an example would be a large bucket with some bricks and then chain it on

You plow the garden in the fall to let the clods to freeze? LOL! You do it for the soil, dude! For minerals and all those shit. Damn..

Not on a 3-point attachment.

driver needs to slow down. a disc works best at slow speed. drive faster and it rolls over the top of your work area instead of penetrating.
