I was so convicted by this message. I realize I tend to get stubborn and angry when I am challenged, and I will tell the truth to others in a blunt, harsh manner instead of showing mercy. So thank you for this.

God saved me from an 18 yr marriage to a Religious Covert Narcissist. I couldn't get out even with physical abuse due to Religious and cultural manipulation, along with kids, and house & car. He did his extreme best to imprison me. By God's mercy, I was saved ❤. Still praying for my kids.. 🙏

I went to a pentecostal church for several years. In that church, we were told that you can not get to Heaven without speaking in tongues. We were told that we did not have the holy spirit, if we didn't speak in tongues. Every week, more than half the congregation would begin to speak in tongues. Leaders would go around the church and attempt to command the Holy Spirit to come through us, so that we could speak in tongues. As I started studying the Bible, outside of church, 1 Corinthians 14:27 stood out to me. I waited a few weeks before inquiring about that scripture. I finally got up the courage to approach the pastor after church. I asked him if there were any interpretors in the church. He looked at me in disgust and said, "Go speak to my wife. Don't question me." I was to embarrassed to ask that question again. For two weeks, I was snobbed by several members of the church, including the pastor, before I finally left that church for good. This Bible teaching brought that incident to my remembrance. I thank God for wisdom and discernment.

Really needed this. So on time. I grew up around legalism. Always feeling i could never measure up or not doing enough. I ended up backsliding thinking God was done with me. Thankfully the Lord is breaking off those chains and opening my eyes even more! Been walking back with Him for almost 6 years mow🙏✝️♥️

I'm a newborn. But from day 1 The Sprit opened my heart and mind to want to consume his forgiving love. 2 days later I bought my first Bible. And all I want to do is consume His Word. I see his love everyday in everyone around me. And I have not made it to church yet. But I so long to worship His Grace with others. I'll be off on the 19th. And I will he willing going to Church for the first time in 47 years. On my birthday. What a beautiful gift from Our Glorious Lord. Thank you Father for loving us so that Jesus died for us. And with Your Grace He lives in me. And for ALL my days I WILL walk with Him in Faith and Love.

Some of those mindsets is me!! I grew up in a legalism church. I backslid for years. Because of Gods love and grace I reconciled a few months ago with Jesus. Lately Ive felt the Holy Spirit convicting me on alot of areas you metioned😱 since I started to attend another church and studying scriptures. This is confirmation!. This message is hiting left, right, up & down. I feel gross😖 but so thankful because Hes purifying my heart❤ because He loves me😭 . Thank you Heavenly Father your so so good and faithful. I've walked with the Holy Spirit half my life David ,and I'm 74 even I look 40 . I don't want anything on this Earth but to make God happy and to get other people to become brides of Christ spirit-filled and to go home. That's all I want I care for nothing else. He is my everything and the Holy Spirit is my best friend, and I'm happy when people come to Christ. I'm happy when people stop arguing with one another ,and bickering and back stabbing ,and pointing fingers, and judging. That's when I'm happy because everything you have said on your short videos, or your ministry crusades ,or your healing ministries ,or your delivering ministries, you have been right on the money Sorry for the pun ,but you have been right on target ,every time and I feel so much when I see your ministry in the Holy Spirit, I feel so strong. David, pastor David Hernandez is such an anointed man of God.. I don't know but you feel like a nephew to me. and yet we don't even know each other. you feel like a little nephew and I've been praying for your ministry since, i have known about your ministry ,constantly. cause I feel like you're more family . in Christ, we are family , . I just know that you speak the truth and I tell as many people about you as I can because you will lead them right to Jesus. And get them Holy Spirit filled. The scripture he used for legalism is Colossians 2:23, Colossians 3:23 talks about work, by doing it heartily as until the Lord and not of men.

Thank goodness my confidence in Christ has grown... I have been surrounded by jealousy for what feels like a lifetime, yet had no self esteem for years... I appreciate this so much. Thank you I love God with all my heart, and only want a good relationship with Him

A religious spirit is sometimes resistant to change!

Pastor, feel God sent this message just for me. Lost our only young precious child and a pastor said he heard a word from God for me that my sins caused my daughter to get cancer and pass away. He put a lot of fear bondage to our already wounded soul. I asked why would God accuse condemn and heap guilt on me and gossip about me. Pls pray devastated broken and going through so much. Pls pray for salvation for my husband and faith trust in God to be rsstored relationships to be healed, Jesus to annoint and set us free. Pls pray to be delivered from guilt condemnation and Jesus forgive us wash us with His blood redeem us, break all witchcraft totally from us protect us keep us from evil. Thank you so much. Pastor

This has allowed me to recognize I was in a church 2yrs ago that had some of this manipulation you've mentioned.And when God was making a way for me to be able to move out of a demonic atmosphere in my apartment complex to another town they got mad at me.thank God for confirmation I was seeing the wrong spirit in them trying to disciple me.

They are ATTENTION SEEKERS. Thanks for the teaching it was really speaking about me.🙏 Jealousy about others. Thinking that I am better than others. Wanting others to know the good that I have done. Being judgmental and seeing other peoples mistakes instead of mine. And by the way one might be in a good church but when they are like that. SELF REFLECTION INDEED. God bless your ministry.

Thank you for this reminder to check ourselves always. Your highlighting of a “toxic” church atmosphere is spot on. My husband and I experienced this several times. We asked questions from leadership gently and privately and were totally shut out as a result. Knowing this meant there were issues in the church, we left. That fellowship has sadly stagnated and the pastor’s family ended up in a scandalous situation a few years later. Sad. We need to pray for our leaders often and use discernment in our lives.

I'm a catholic, this year besides initiating a relationship with Jesus, and learning more about my church teachings, I've been visiting other denominations because I believe, since the believers share Christ and the Holy bible we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, and I believe there are true devout Christians among any denomination. I found that some of the common attitude that: "Catholics are not Christians", Or" I was brought up Catholic, but now I'm happier here" , " We have the true interpretations of the doctrines , so we are better than them" ."some of them are overly friendly so I would can join their church" . I think there is a divisive spirit in the Body of the Christ empowered by PRIDE and competition. Instead of trying bring people to Chris , they compete to steal other Christians to their church. We are called to be saints, we need to compete to reach holiness.

I am convinced By The Holy Spirit most churches have this and don’t see it. I had it for nine years and didn’t understand because I was lied to as a child

I’m new in the Faith, there are so many people in the church I go to so consumed by the spirit of religion, and they are all asleep to it. I keep praying God doesn’t allow me to fall into that. 😢

I go to a Bible church no mention of religion or denomination. We love and read the Word of God . I learn chapter by chapter verse by verse using discernment and prayer for wisdom from God to understand what He wants me to understand. No legalism. Love you pastor David.

A lot of these religious mindsets you spoke of are me. Thank you for explaining and breaking them down so I can become aware to pray to God and the Holy Spirit to correct in me. A lot of my upbringing in my own household, and people within churches growing up, was taught to me to be rooted in fear and control. I absolutely believed that my salvation was wrapped up in earning of works… my childhood home life as well as the upbringing of religion my whole life was conditional love… those conditions of love were so thinly given. So I still am praying to God to help me break from from these mindsets I am learning just recently through your channel and a couple others, that is not the case with Jesus. His love is eternal. I am honest in saying I don’t KNOW his love, but I know God is going to give that to me in a way I feel will be down-poured upon in His perfect timing for me. I am growing my foundation and I want my roots to be firm and strong in His word. I luv Him, and I know he loves me, I just have my been shown or taught true love yet, and The Holy Spirit is helping me walk in His love and grace of understanding daily. One of my biggest revelation moments the Holy Spirit showed to me in my secret place to life that paranoia around salvation being removed if I did anything wrong, was the scripture that talks about that I cannot be plucked from His hand. I wept like a baby reading that. Thank you Jesus for always knowing the perfect time for when I was ready to truly hear and receive what I needed. Thank you brother Diga for your videos, I prayed for your ministry of teaching my whole life without me even knowing it. But He did. My wife and l left a church that we had been part of for the last 7 years before becoming part of our community church in our local community.l could see things where not right were we where but couldn't place the blame on the Pastor or us thanks to Ps David's teaching it has given us a fresh insight where God wants us to be.Also discovered that sometimes we try to attack out churches trying to find fault with them but can't. Religion may not have been the problem but it was an old church that had been operating for many years.With old ideas

I was prompted to share with a good friend who was severely spiritually abused to the point she was suicidal. She comes from a church culture that is based in religion or the religious spirit. Thisessages has helped give clarity to things I've known about family members who have attacked me for years. I can now see how deeply embedded the religious spirit is in that family.

Glory be to God !!! I used to be offended by most teachings ,everyone would look wrong and I'll be the right one but now I actually treasure the truth and not even embarrassed to admit. Each time I read the Bible I would mirror others not myself and always had the fear of losing my salvation even at times I would go evangelize as if I'm scoring points and now knowing the truth that Jesus loved me whilst I was still a sinner brings peace ✌ ❤ 💙 ♥

Be Lead by the spirit saints, Great teaching but we all are on different levels. Isolation with Jesus as your Shepard is a beautiful encounter. when it's time to fellowship God will lead you to the right church in the name of Jesus.

And it also sets a bad example for Christians if you have a higher than thou attitude. I mean non-christians, already believe that we're self-righteous and when non Christians see us as being humble, then we are allowing them to see the true humility of who we are! And of course who Jesus is in our lives and in the world!

Of late I've been so burdened with legalism that it's making even the fasting I do seem like it's not enough, feeling pressured to do more n it's so heavy on me that I just have to... Sometimes I get stuck in prayers that unless I pray in this way or something, it doesn't count, I was advised to stop being so legalistic by my pastor n I agree.... For me, the one that's pressuring me to get this way is me. I'm legalistic to my own self n it's really been affecting me. I've reached a point where I just had to search for one of your preachings on legalism n just get it out from it's root, it's too much, the overthinking.... I haven't gone far with this video but so far a lot has already been spotted... I pray I lose this legalistic way of serving my God by His grace.... Thank you SO very much for this teaching, God is taking me out of a severe case of the religious spirit - and what really came to me as I was listening, was, that the religious spirit will make us think every little detail is so important, that we wear ourselves out in the attempt to do everything quite right - that when the bigger and truly important things come up, we are so tired and don't care anymore, that we will compromise and those important things.

I’m experiencing almost all of this. I know that I might be functioning from legalism and such, but this opened my eyes more that I am functioning from religious spirit. It’s really hard to go out of this bc my mind always back up it’s reasons with the Bible verses. But 3 years ago I decided to confront it bc I feel like there’s really wrong and I am so burdened with do’s and don’ts and rules. It’s unbreable weight.

God is really addressing me through this teachings. I find it necessary to go to church ⛪️ because I feel that they don’t preach the gospel of salvation . Because I had a believe that it was the ultimate goal of worshiping God. Is been 10 years now. But I still maintain a belief that the gospel must be focused on salvation and how to maintain it through righteousness grounded on the principles of the Bible. So that our souls will be saved.

I myself have been guilty of this in the past. But I have a true relationship with God now for many years. But when others try to manipulate me and they are family, it really takes a toll on you.. I met you once at a wedding and after hearing this teaching was reminded that I wanted to ask so many questions relating to this teaching but didn't know how to ask. 1) Loyalty to the minister/ ministry as a sign of loyalty to God. Loyalty comes with benefits such as promotion to positions which require commitment and service as proof of loyalty. Once the appointed person steps back, or reduces commitment, or service, the 'benefits' are withdrawn. 2) Support for the ministry of the leader/founder is equated with support for the work of God, which equals support and loyalty to God. 3) Subtle character-smearing of members by those in leadership, and with leaders of other churches/ministries, so the member is perceived as a troublemaker or one who has issues.
