Yes oh .. they do a lot. The only solution is to make your sound so unique that they can’t copy it and if they do it’ll be very obvious So just keep improving your sound and individuality

He’s a bit wrong. It’s highlife that originated in Ghana and Fela was originally a highlife artist in the 50s. After a while he included jazz in his music and originally called it highlife-jazz. Afterward, his Ghanaian manager suggested they give it a name of its own. And that’s how Afrobeat was born. Afrobeat itself is a blend of mainly highlife and jazz and it’s the highlife portion that originated in Ghana.
