Turned out very nice for your first ever DIY home improvement project. That was a lot of work and would have been easy to give up on. I’ve done a lot of home improvements over my years of home ownership and the one thing I was told by a professional contractor is to NOT point out all the little flaws you know are there to other people , they only see the big picture and will seldom see a little defect. It looks great ! I wish I had the ambition to do my own garage , but at my age and my garage floor is 24’ x 52” I’ll run out of ambition real quick. 😂😂

Looks awesome!! When I did this kind of work we always sanded the loose flakes before we put the clear down. After the epoxy and flakes dried we’d come back the next morning and lightly sand,then blow out the loose flakes with a hand held blower. Then we’d put the clear on after.

Great job Derek! I've been wanting to epoxy my garage, but after all these years, I have so many oil stains and such, I doubt I could get it clean enough! 😂 And that dust is no joke. We ground off some paint from the floor of a couple of rooms and I was coughing it up for days, even with a good mask. A respirator is recommended! Take care man!

Not telling you how to do things but fun fact when you did that on the card board it actually absorbed some of the mixer and threw it off it sticks works but I recommend like the body work sheets or a peice of aluminum/steel example when you do it with bondo or body filler it will absorb it with card board and again throw the mixture of but hey it works . Figure I'd throw it out there

I could be wrong here. The clear coat. Yes you can roll it on. I seen people just pour the clear on and somewhat squeegee the clear over the floor. Hard to explain. I seen a few people do it that way. Still looks good Derek

grinding was a good move. We tried to epoxy a garage years ago and the concrete guys put a sealer on top and our floor, it SLOWLY peeled up over a 5 year period and looked bad. I am almost certain if we would have etched that sealer off we would have had no issues.

Needed the squeegee for the clear, would’ve had no issues, but turned out great either way!

Derek it’s time to invest in a 6o gallon compressor. Have the garage wired for 220 if it isn’t already, get the compressor and start buying some air tools…trust me on this.

Great video bro! I just picked up a 2021 Mach 1 with 17k miles. Does ur Mach 1 burn oil to where u have to top off every 1k miles or so? I drive it normal and my dip stick reads half after 1k miles. This normal?

Just know epoxy is not designed to be used outside, so it probably will fade on your porch because it's sensitive to UV. Garage looks good! Let me know if you have any painting/epoxy questions in the future for any surface! One of few that puts in time for prep, i get customers come in everyday with disaster stories that couldve been prevented! Keep up the great work!
