Super Gloss is a top coat, we would recommend using Mod Podge gloss to adhere it and use the super gloss on top

Yes you should paint first. If you use the original photo transfer medium it will have a white background and will not matter the color that is printed below it. If you use the new Image Transfer medium, it dries clear and the color will depend on the image you are trying to transfer. Yes you can seal with Mod Podge Hard Coat or a Spray Acrylic sealer to offer more protection and give you a glossy finish.

We don't recommend doing on an item that you want to wash such as a mug.

You can use varnish to seal the piece after. If it's for decorative purposes you may not need to seal it.

If you go to an office supply store most color copies are the dry toner or if it's an image from a computer file and you have them print it out, it's a dry toner image that can be used.

Did you mean inkjet transfer? We don't recommend using it with inkjet prints. We recommend a dry toner/laser print or copy

Take the paper off in stages. If the photo transfer gets too wet it will rub on the image. Rub lightly on the image. When all the paper appears to be gone, let dry and keep repeating the step. If you try to take off all the paper at once it will remove the image.

Yes....watch Our Upcycled life channel. You can use an inkjet and regular mod podge, you don't need this special mod podge, that probably costs more. Our Upcycled life has several videos where she does this. She usually uses a laser printer, however, she does do a few videos on using an ink jet printer. She calls it "reverse transfer" if you search that several videos should pop up, just put in, "reverse transfer method ink jet printer." It is called reverse transfer because you have to reverse or mirror your image, before printing, if it has words on it.....meaning the words will look like they are backwards, when you print it. Now, I know the inkjet gives you a more rustic look, it isn't quite as dark, but it is still beautiful. I am not sure if you could seal the image first, with a clear spray....like a Rustoleum clear spray or not. There is another way to transfer an image using an inkjet and wax paper, there is a video on Cristine Elizabeth's channel. Then, you won't have the glue residue left behind. Those two channels should help you and I know that Our Upcycled life channel is very useful for saving money. She has some really great videos for that.

You can do ink jet but we suggest you seal the image, since Mod Podge is water based it makes the ink jet image run.

Yes, I thought this was going to be something special, but you can just use regular mod podge, you don't have to buy some special product that probably costs more. 🙄 Watch Our Up-cycles Life channel, she does it both ways, with regular decoupage glue. I believe you can even do it with a polyacrylic or polyurethane.

The photo transfer will not work on Canvas. It's designed for paper so you can remove the paper. You could Mod Podge it down on your surface.

R B, could you put the canvas picture on your copier and then obtain an inkjet copy of it? I have the same situation. It probably won't give a crisp, sharp image, but the result may be interesting.

We don't recommend Acrylic Disks, it's made for wood, canvas, terra cotta, metal, and fabric

There could be paper still on the image. It's important to rub the paper off until It appears gone. let try and continue the process. This also will prevent any damage to the image while removing the paper. If the medium is wet for a long period of time it can be damaged or removed.

scrapbook paper is thicker and has a different method of printing. A copy on a dry toner works best
