The stealth stalker valor surge has been nerfed on patch 1.09. So the damage numbers shown in this video is no longer possible with this setup. It is still a very good setup to use, but not quite as good as it once was.

Low Health Ranged is intended to work when on less than 50% health, rather than 25%, so it's actually pretty easy to achieve. But it does seem to be bugged and not add a damage boost no matter how little health you have.

Its awesome but i went with power shots instead. I dont have to hide. Maxed out gives you 5 shots each adds 200% to ranged damage and it does not use up ammo.

25% damage sounds dire. I played through HZD FW and fell in love with the 51% damage modifications. But if 25% damage x 5 does this much damage, imagine if you had 5 of those 51% damage modifications from HZD in HFW 😨

Overdraw potions actually increase damage a lot. I did 4k damage yo a slaughter spine on normal without potion and with it I did 8k damage and one shot him

I'd suggest using an extra Stealth 15% coil instead of the High Ground 25% coil for when you're not on high ground. I'd also recommend trying to equip the Low Health Ranged +2 Weave with the armor for another 85% damage boost when under 50% health. You can get a Mounted Archer +2 buff too with the right armor. I still haven't seen a true max damage build video pre-patch using all of these things combined.

I'm using almost the same set up now I'm trying using 2 stealth 2 long range and 1 blue long range. Now I'm trying with foods to get maximum damage.

Just double or triple shot a freeze arrow on the first shot then really do some damage on the second hit. The behemoth does the big damage because it does extra damage on the tear off. Ps. Whenever you hit lvl 4 on any skill it will no longer add a bonus it even leaves a little note saying it wont add to the effect. Freeze it knock it down there are still options for bigger damage.

What if you freeze the machine and shot the arrow while you are on a mount? Freeze would make the machine take even more damage and you get a pretty good damage bonus while mounted with the skill on level 4

I didn't know merchants sold curls in this game and that they made your equipment better! Edit: As for finding a machine to hit higher on, have you tried a watcher's eye? I've already hit massive numbers on behemoths by blowing up their bellies before even running into any horizon videos, but I remember early in the game using a blue sharpshot bow and getting 2.1k hits and I think it was on a watcher's eye. All I remember is it was at night, I was on a hill fighting a ton of strong monsters at once, I didn't have any insane coils (though the bow was maxed out at lvl 4) and I kept my high ground and picked them off at a distance with a lot of patience at the safety of the hill and the distance. I thought to myself wow, if I'm hitting over 2k with this crappy bow early on, I can't imagine what I'll be hitting when I'm maxed out. (I avoided watching anything at all Horizon related so it wouldn't spoil anything at all, but now I pretty much finished the game so I'm curious seeing other people's builds, I had already hit around 15k dmg in a single shot but thought I was likely missing something and lo and behold, this is significantly higher than my hit). I have never bought any coils though, I've just used the ones I've found in the wild. I'll definitely try those long range coils out! Should give me insaaane hits.

Use the Utaru Winterweave Outfit instead. It’s better for these sorts of shenanigans. Low Profile +2 and Quiet Movement +2 makes it a lot easier to regain stealth so you can go for a second killing Stealth Shot.

Can get 50% more damage from shooting from a mount. Can't use braced shot, but then you also don't need stamina

I am trying to upgrade my weapon and learning this particular shot you´re showing us here, but i am not entirely sure how you do the braced shot. The Game says to hold L2 and then press R1, but in your video, it looks like you´re actually drawing your bow as if you´re holding R2. Can you draw your bow like that or is this just the animation from the Braced Shot?

Yeah I've seen people one-shot a Thunderjaw with boltblaster crit builds, but I prefer agility crit builds. It's more fun. You can do some severe damage with a hunter bow while sliding...provided you hit an actual module. It incentivizes being mobile, which is more rewarding to me. It's especially rewarding in human combat where sliding with a hunter bow and placing one right between the eyes takes them out in one shot, if they don't have a helmet on and two if they do.
