I've not used a zipper foot at all I dnt even use if for zips but I've noticed there's a couple dif ones as I have this big pack of feet and there is more than one that says zipper foot so wud using that help the stitching to be closer to the bag web sewing the binding

Absolutely! It makes it so you can get nice and close with an even seam allowance

It is 1/2” when all folded up
